I have this exact system and love it! I use it once a week or so when I buy pork chops or chicken. We buy a large pack and take out what we will use for the meal/ meals for the week. And then vac seal the rest. It saves us a lot of money! We use the “make ur own bags” only because the pre made ones seem way to large for what I am sealing.

Yes this deal worked for me with no problems, I have one of the older versions bought it from Goodwill a few years back for $4.00 works like a charm, but I sometimes have issues with the suction and have to repeat it but for $4.00 what do you expect, I really got my moneys worth IMO but now if anything happens I have my backup, I agree this was a great deal!!
