A friend of mine bought one of these, they liked it until summer hit and the heatwaves started rolling through. Their dog kept trying to wade through it and caused huge messes LOL. I guess that little babbling brook feel was just too much to resist when it came to cool off, a normal bowl never caused him to do that.

Our cats refuse to drink water out of a dish because of these!! lol. We’ve had several different types and while I love how much water the platinum holds, the pumps always seem to wear out within a year and algae easily grows in the seams of the reservoir. You have to wash these with vinegar or stuff will build up and harden and will not come off no matter what. I’ve also had issues with algae growing in the seams of 4 or 5 tanks…but I believe this was bc I was only using soap and water to wash…but don’t know for certain, For the price these are great and will almost always drastically increase your pets water in take…but we’ve taken a liking to catit’s water fountain. Its so much easier to clean and doesn’t need broken down near as often and the cats 100% prefer it over the drinkwell. Since they’re setup so differently, their whiskers do not touch anything when drinking from the catit fountain, but do in the drinkwell. Also they don’t have to lean down so far either. They can stand to drink. Regardless though…I recommend a fountain for healthier furballs!!!

Our new cat loves to drink out of ours sinks – cries until we turn them on so she can drink. We have been wanting to get her a fountain but they are so pricey. For this price, I can grab one – thanks!
My cat is the same way. He refuses to drink unless it’s following. He won’t drink out of the bottom. I love ours. Wish I had one for 100 pound dog though.

I’m tempted to get my Beagle the multi tier one. I’m afraid it would be to small for her though. Worried since I keep reading about cats and not dogs. Does anyone have one of these for their dog? Do they like it?
I have several of these fountains and three dogs and one cat. They all love drinking out of it. One of my dogs likes drinking where the water comes out of top, another one drinks where it waterfalls and one drinks out of the bowl. I have never had an issue of them not liking it. I highly recommend it!
