Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Just a word of caution. I stopped by Walgreens earlier today and had a less than desirable shopping experience. Several items advertised did not ring up on sale at the register, register rewards did not print for the Pantene items, and coupons clipped to my card would not work and the manager refused to credit me for them at the register. Please review your receipts carefully.
Sadly this sounds like my typical Walgreens experience. I’ve given up shopping there. Would rather spend a few dollars more and support stores who are more coupon friendly.
Agree. Seems like every time I go something is wrong. The prices don’t ring up right, I don’t get my points, or rewards. They are always happy to fix it but I just don’t have time to deal with that.
Call customer service . They will credit you with points.
When that happens and lets say you clip your coupon to your card and it didnt come off. Call the Balance Rewards number and they will help you. It happens to me too sometimes I think its their system. Like when we had that high value coupon for 3 off Revlon makeup a couple of weeks ago I digitally clip it but. It dodnt come off my purchase so I call balance Rewards and he gave me 3,000 points which equals $3.00 so I was fine with it. Cause the coupon expire that day.
$10 Register Rewards for Old Spice personal care kits did not print and the manager refused to honor this earlier today.
Cashier refused to scan my 25% coupon since all I bought were the toys (buy 2 get 2), and he insisted it wouldn’t work – I asked if he could scan it anyway – and he got all mad and refused. The staff that works on the holidays are not coupon friendly or knowledgeable – at all.
You can always clip any of the ad coupons digitally to your balance rewards card. That way the cashier does not have to scan anything. It just comes off automatically at check out.

I couldn’t find the Scunci coupon for the longest time. Kept checking back and then eventually saw it but it wouldn’t let me clip it either. 😞 Luckily I had a very sweet cashier and he rung up them up for just 1 penny after I showed him the ad saying there should be a coupon. And darn! I wish I had known sale items would work with the 25% coupon. I thought since the vanity fair napkins were normally $3.xx that it wouldn’t work. Oh well. You win some and you lose some. Overall it’s been a pretty good start to Black Friday!

If you’re in the Walgreens app, just select the weekly ad (3 day sale) and it is the first item that pops up. With the option to clip to your card. Hth.

No it’s not one-time use. It’s just the in ad coupon. hth.
Just a heads up. I loaded the 25% off coupon to my card. It did not apply the discount to my purchase. The cashier manually scanned the coupon and the discount came off. Be sure to check your receipt!

I’ve had that happen. Cashier refused to scan so I asked for a manager. It was an unforgettable experience as the cashier was rude but the manager scanned my coupon with no issues.

I bought a hot wheel track set, a matchbox set, a Star Wars gun with sounds and lights plus an Alice in wonderland sticker book/journal yesterday. My store had Thomas the train and frozen mini backpacks, art and crafts and hair chalk for older girls, I found a ton of large Disney books for beginner readers.
They also had quite a few my little pony dolls, play doh sets and a bunch of Mr. potato heads 🙂
We have bought way too many toys from Walgreens! And 90% of the time they are great.
I got the iTunes gift card deal ($30 multi pack with a free $10 Walgreens gift card). The free gift card didn’t automatically come up. They were very nice about it at my Walgreens and honored the deal, but I agree that I would watch and make sure all of the deals are going through correctly for you.
I had this experience as well, make sure you grab the Walgreens card when you grab the iTunes card and alert them to the deal…

Can you buy 4 tins of cookies in one transaction for the 25% coupon to take discount of each tin?
I loaded 25% off coupon to my card but I is it just one use this way or if I can use it repeatedly until expiration. If it’s one time use for online coupon, I’d like to buy all the items I need in one transaction.

Can anyone tell me what playdoh and hotwheel sets walgreens offer this year? Is it all the same like last year? Last year i bought all playdoh and hotwheels sets to gift my nephew on his birthday and christmas, so i dont want to go there just to find out it’s all the same sets like last year (he loves cars and playdoh so he will remember what set he already got)
Hi Spring. I saw Transformer, Mr. Potato Head and Cars play doh sets for 6.99 B2G2F. There were also two Sweet Shop play doh sets. One had three mini cans with several cut outs. This was the same price. The other Sweet Shop sandwich and fruit set. It was a little larger set and was $4.99 on sale. Not sure about the Hot Wheels. HTH

Found the Peppa Pig bus and car at my Walgreens for $9.99 each (after the 50% off toys sale). The car is $14 something on Amazon and the bus is $19 something!
The scunci deal for the coupon was actually a misprint. My store put up a sign and stopped honoring it after a few hours. I know them pretty well since I shop there ALL the time so I didn’t even ask her to do it for me before they put up the sign. I’ve never had any issues with Walgreen’s. I always have a problem with CVS though so I completely stopped shopping there. I think it just all has to do with the individual store. Just remember, It is black Friday and these people don’t want to deal with grouchy customers., Don’t blame them for the mistakes 🙂 Have fun and be safe 🙂
I tried to use the Scunci coupon (which loaded successfully to my card as of this morning) and the manager and store clerk agreed that while the two products should be free, they couldn’t figure out how to make the cash register apply the coupon correctly. There was no signage indicating the ad was incorrect.
My Walgreens store wouldn’t let me use the 25% off coupon on the B2G2 Free toys! The manager said the toys were already “on-sale” for 6.99 but atleast my store had a good selection of toys so I am using these toys to stock the gift closet for birthdays and other occasions. I got two “paint your own” princess sets (with Aerial and Snow white included), 1 hot wheels 5 pack, and a pony-land play set for the B2G2. They also had some toys 50% off: Barbie Car (included with a Barbie) for $10, and some Discover Toys Night Vision Goggles for $5. The Barbie Car is a good deal because Target has the Car with another accessorie package for $29. Usually I am not a fan of Walgreens but my kiddo just received 2 birthday invitations this week so this will help a little and they have a convenient location. I wouldn’t drive out of my way if you don’t live close to one.

I tried the Johnson&Johnson deal, and it didnt give me any points. I bought exactly what collin showed.

Thanks so much for the heads up – I got 8 toys total – the cashier was awesome she had the 25% coupon handy and was like let’s see if it will let you have more off… $7 off.. for a total of $25ish and that is with a bag of thin oreos for me 🙂 Hopefully the kids that receive them for Toys for Tots will love them!
