We have 4 of these – and LOVE them! I wish I would have paid this price!
Oh awesome! Glad to hear how well they have worked for you Heather! Thanks for sharing!
It is not safe to have any aftermarket products under (or on) any car seat. Things like this should be illegal to sell.
My manual specifically says to use a mat or towel under it. You don’t know the specifics of every car seat out there.
There is nothing that makes these unsafe per se. The reason they aren’t considered “safe” is because they aren’t tested with the carseat for crash test ratings. I wouldn’t call it unsafe — it’s just simply untested.
We love these! We had the worst diaper I have ever seen (and we have a bakers dozen of kids now…) a couple of months ago. The car seat just went in the dumpster, it was that bad. This mat prevented it from soaking the seat too. I will never forget that for as long as I live. And I’m pretty sure most of the kids won’t ever have kids because of witnessing that 😂
Lol!
Oh no! Lol! Happy to hear this saved your seats! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Price went up already
Bummer! I am seeing that now as well. Thanks for the heads up!
Mats like these interfere with correct installations on many seats. Some seats will allow mats or towels (and very few at that). Check your manuals before using after market products like these. They are not tested and it would be horrific to find that your carseat failed in an accident due to aftermarket products.
We have two of these. They don’t interfere with the installation of our Graco care seats. Having kids in daycare and spending an hour vacuuming sand out of our SUV’s perforated seats has made me ask a few questions: Why were sandboxes ever invented? Why does my daughter enjoy dumping buckets of sand on herself? Why didn’t I find out about these seat covers a year ago?
