Unless they’ve changed anything just recently yes you can. I’ve done it even this past summer. Red card bonus can’t apply.
You can no longer buy a target gc with a target gc. They recently changed it.

Yes it’s true. You can buy Disney gift cards with target gift cards in store, but you don’t get the red card discount on top of it, so not worth it anymore.
Hmm. Well darn. Though I guess 10% is better than the 6% discount on Disney cards you get at Sam’s Club.
It is right on the Target website that you cannot buy Disney Card with Target Gift Cards anymore. I believe is was around Sept/Oct that the changed it

I’ve heard that the self-checkouts and most cashiers will still let you buy in store, but obviously that may change and/or be a misunderstanding. I might try it, but knowing that if I can’t get the Disney cards, I’ll still have a use for $300 at target.
Correct! You are no longer able to purchase them on the website using target gift cards. The only way I’ve been able to do it is at self checkout
Have you done this recently since the change? I was planning on buying a few $300 giftcard a and flipping it to Disney gc. I was hoping originally of doing this then read you couldn’t…but if self checkout will allow you to then I might try that.
I went to my local store yesterday and bought a $25 Disney gift card with a $25 target gift card at the customer service register. It worked with no problems. You cannot do it online though!

From local time store opening until its closing time, the 10% off will apply to the Target gift cards. I wonder what store would run out of the plastic winter/holiday cards? Also, If you aren’t able to make it in-store, you can order them online and then have them stored on your Target app (barcode will store under gift cards within the app)

I like to buy one of these to have in my wallet for when I shop at Target. Instead of whipping out my Red Card to save 5%, I whip out my gift card and save 10% off everything! Every bit of savings helps!!!

Once you buy the GC at the discounted 10% off, you don’t get an additional 10% off. So if you buy $100 GC, you pay $90. You don’t buy a $100 GC and get 10% off each time you use it.
Sorry to confuse you. I was meaning that since I can get a $100 gift card for only $90 it’s like getting 10% off everything I buy until my $100 gift card is used up. Hope that makes sense!

They don’t let you use gift cards to buy other gift cards. Unless that changed. So buying Target to get a Disney card won’t work.

It might vary by store. Cashier here said you cannot buy ANY gift cards with Target GC, only cash or credit now. I wanted to get an itunes gc for a birthday gift last month, I was short on cash and had a $25 Target GC I thought I could flip. Was disappointed when the cashier said it wasn’t allowed anymore. So YMMV.
I think it totally depends on the cashier too. I’ve had some of them read the fine print on every coupon before even scanning it, and some couldn’t care less. So if you find the one that knows all the rules and finds joy in enforcing them, you’re gonna have a bad time….

Just an FYI- you CANNOT use Target gift cards to purchase any third party gift cards (iTunes, Disney, Xbox, Starbucks, ect). You may only use them to purchase merchandise.
