I was looking at this last night since I have a $5 pantry credit. What’s the best strategy? It looks like you don’t have to fill the box completely.

    • Johnna

You don’t have to fill it completely, I add several ‘filler’ items like $2 body wash, $2 pasta sides so my box isn’t so expensive. With the $5 credit there are lots of great deals! 🙂

  2. ohiogirl

New to this. I have several $5.00 pantry credits. Wondering if I can apply more than one on an order? TIA

    • Mel

Unfortunately just one credit per order.

    • Marie

My order took both of my credits plus I got free shipping also.

  3. Nancy

It doesn’t seem to subtract the coupons above and beyond what the listed price is even though it says “coupon available” am I doing something wrong?

    • Kate

it doesn’t show the coupons when in your cart, but when you click “check-out” you will see it deducted as a line item. Hope that helps!

Is there a way to view items in a different layout – I have given up because it’s torture sliding sideways on both of my phones. As an idea, there is a Glade air fresher item for $1 and red pepper flakes for just under a dollar in the list, should make for a free box with a $5 credit, right?

  5. cheri

A little confused. It will not take my “no rush credit” off unless I get items totaling over the $5.99 prime pantry delivery plus the $5 credit. So my items need to total more than $10.99 which means I still have to pay $5.99. (it says it took the shipping price off.) Is this correct? (Sorry if this is confusing…)

    • Kristi

Whenever I’ve done it in the past I’ve always had to pay at least $5.99 I think. Still makes for awesome deals sometimes.

  6. Maggie

Anyone finding a great deal? I would love to try Prime Pantry, and this seems like a good way to start. (The McCormick peeper for $1.xx was Out of stock for me)

  7. Maggie

Just saw Rice-A-Roni Cups, Cheddar Broccoli, 2.1 for $1, 15% coupon. I added that and other needed items-good deal thank!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great find! YW!

I am new to prime and was looking to place a prime pantry order. I selected from the included items and shipping and handling is showing up for free but there is a 5.99 prime pantry delivery fee. Is that always present for prime pantry orders or am i making a mistake?

    Thanks for the help!

    • Anna

The trick is to pick 5 qualifying items to get free shipping. I tried to do this the other day, but decided that it wasnt a good deal for me since i was adding things i didnt need to get free shipping.

    • cheri

I’m having the same issue… I’m guessing you have to pay the $5.99 no matter what?? I was hoping to try it out and only pay a dollar or two (with my prime pantry credit) and see how it works…hmmm…maybe I’m being too greedy…

  9. Jen

No, not normal will be removed if u have qualifying items at check out. I order all the time.
1). Always get the 5 items for free ship usually can get them for the same or less as the $5.99
2). Don’t fill your box unless necessary (u need items & great price)
3). Look for coupons and clip
4). U can order those add on items
    5). Use ur credits
6). Select no rush if available for extra credits.
I’m in love with pantry great for items u need in between trips or heavy say dog food or beverages, no lugging in and out of car and in house, just straight to ur door.

    • Diane

Thanks for all the great tips, Jen!

    • KP

Thank you! Turned out I only had four qualifying items, which I wouldn’t have caught without these great tips!

Thank you! I have had credit I didn’t know what to do with. I ended up finding 3 boxes of cereal. crackers, and a can of peanuts for under $9.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sounds like a great deal! You’re so welcome!

  11. LC

I got a box of cereal, head n shoulders shampoo, basil leaves, canister of Quaker instant oats, and Aussie hair gel for 7.xx! The had one credit.

    • cheri

Thanks for the head and shoulders idea!! Now it’s worth it!!

  12. Melissa

Just a note – I really like the changes they’ve made for the Prime Pantry Free Shipping. It used to be difficult to determine whether you had 5 of the correct items. Now, between it being stated beneath the item as Collin showed & the little circles at the top of your page numbered 1-5 (they fill in green as you go!), it’s so easy!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for the helpful feedback Melissa!

  13. Jsturner1

I did this last week and used my free $5 coke offer from buying just dance and a $5 credit! Good deal!

  14. ginger

Put 5 cereals cups in my cart but my prime pantry $5 credit is not coming off. The shipping, no-rush credit and the coupons came off but I still have to pay $5.99? What am I doing wrong? any help? wanted to use my $5 credit from before but don’t know how to contact Amazon and do live chat.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, have you tried giving them a call?

  15. Susan

Is it possible to select the 5 select items for free shipping, plus apply the $5 shipping credit on the 5 select items in the cart. I’ve read all of the above, but still confused. Is this a good deal or customary.

  16. Cathy

Thanks for posting this! 🙂 I had a $5.99 no-rush credit to use by the 7th. Figured out that the minimum it REQUIRES you to pay OOP is $5.99. If your total is UNDER $5.99 it adjusts/reduces the no-rush credit so you don’t get the full amount. To balance that out, I just added a pricier item to my cart to make full use of the credit.

I’m buying: Herbal Essences Tea-lightfully Clean Shampoo for $2.50 minus $1 coupon, Pantene Pro-V Shampoo/Conditioner Dual pack $6.36 minus $4 coupon, Sunkist 24 ct Value pack Fruit Snacks $4.15, McCormick Crushed Red Pepper $0.96, and Head & Shoulders Shampoo $4.49 minus $2 coupon.

After ALL coupons, Free Shipping Credit and $5.47 of the No-Rush shipping credit applies I’m paying $5.99 OOP for my order. I’m happy with it! While I was shopping I really tried to keep my couponing price points in mind. I didn’t want to order stuff we didn’t need/wouldn’t use! I also used credit from the My Coke Rewards Amazon Gift card that I bought with MCR points to pay for my order!
Thanks so much, Collin, for all you and your team do to help us save!!! 🙂 Hope you have a Blessed Christmas!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! What a great score! You are SO welcome Cathy! Merry Christmas! 😉

  17. Ashley

Hello i tried to add 5 qualifying items to my box but it still tried to charge me. I did have a few other prime pantry items too. I had 5 of one thing and 4 of another but both were pantry items. Is it beacuse i got 5 of same item rather than 5 different items

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, I am not sure. I still find the offer to be valid. Maybe try just grabbing the 5 qualifying items only and see if it works for you that way. Or switch to a different browser. Hope this helps!
