This is such a good deal. I bought an ooma at Costco on a coupon and paid a lot more. I was skeptical but I’m really happy with the service so far, too.

How cool! Thanks for the great review! Thanks for sharing your experience!

We also have ooma, are very happy with it! We paid more than this for a refurbished system a year or two ago so this is a great deal! You do have to have a access to a good high speed internet connection for it to work. We only pay about $4 in taxes for phone service plus the cost of the internet service. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks so much for the feedback Sarah!

Love our Ooma! This is a great price and service is great, just in case anyone is on the fence!

  4. Becky

I’m showing it as 57.01 after 10% coupon.

    • a

      Where.is the 10% coupon?

      • Becky

It shows right underneath the price for me. It says to click on it to clip it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! I am not seeing a coupon as I click through. Glad to hear you could score the additional savings!

I’ve had Ooma for around four years now, great service love my Ooma.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s great to hear! Thanks for the review Gail!

We’ve had Ooma for many years and LOVE it ($3.17/month for a home phone!!)! Worth noting… it does go out when the wifi is down unlike the traditional phone in the wall.

We are looking to cut the cord on our phone. We’d been considering the Magic Jack which is cheaper. Does anyone know how the Ooma compares to Magic Jack?

    • Connie

I think with Magic Jack your computer has to be turned on for it to work (I looked at this years ago, it may have changed now). But with Ooma as long as your wifi is on it will work, similar to Vonage. We’ve been using Ooma for almost 5 years now and it’s pretty reliable cheaper than the Vonage we’ve also tried. Hope this helps.

      • Renee

I have magicJack and you can plug into the wall so your computer does not need to be on. We pay about $35 annually and I can call within US and to Canada. Also free to other Magicjack owners. Plus they now have the Magicjack app when you buy the device so you can set up on your cell phone too. We love our Magicjack, can’t beat the savings!

Have had our Ooma about 5 years and love it! A little over $3.00 a month for phone service. A great deal here too!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Thanks for the great feedback Daisy!

Has anyone that is loving their Ooma, also tried Obihai? I’d like to know if it worth the $3.xx a month for the Ooma vs. nothing for the Obi. I like having the Obi tied to my Google Voice #, which also rings on my cell at the same time. Is that an option on Ooma?

how did both of the top internet phone companies end up with (I think) very similar names? I think that is how I accidentally found Obi, only after reading about Ooma & forgetting the name. LOL
