These have horrible reviews. One actually said to give them to a child whose parents you don’t like!
JA lol🙈🙈
Hehe, yeah that’s funny 😂
My daughter is 10 and loves them! She plays with them all the time. I wouldn’t give them to a young child though bc they can get stuck in hair. We don’t have that issue bc she is old enough to be responsible with them! (Her hair is super long and we have never had an issue) If you have a crafty creative older child, I highly recommend them!
Thanks for the helpful review!
The hair thing scares me too much to buy them.
NIGHTMARE. Girls sleepover (ages 7-9) and scissors and lost hair. Maybe 10+ with hair pulled back and no younger kids in the house.
Just a heads up! They are a really fun, creative toy! But my sister in law & I spent a combined 11 hours yesterday getting them out of my daughter’s (6) and two nieces (7 & 4) hair. Apparently, we are not the only parents who have had the hair problem, as there are dozens of videos online teaching the removal technique! If you do buy them, instruct your kiddos to keep them away from their hair. I didn’t know I needed to ….. But obviously I did!
Thanks for the heads up! Good to know!
We had the same experience with bunchems as some other hip2savers. I had to carefully and strategically remove these from my daughter’s hair for HOURS, trying my best not to pull them too hard or end up cutting the hair. The hair was actually wrapped around the bunchem all the way to the scalp so it was not an easy task. I would definitely recommend these only for older kids, maybe 10 and up.
Oh darn 🙁 Sorry to hear about that Erika! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
They get stuck in hair and and American type girls doll hair as well. My eight year old got 4 stuck in her hair and they had to be cut out. My girls were instructed to throw them out immediately if they found any around the house!
Love these for 1.5 to 2 year kids in my class room.. I would pull them out at play time and pack it away when it’s clean up time. However, they are always supervised with them!!!!
That is so dangerous!! I would be livid if I knew you were giving my child a small toy that they could choke on to play with. Supervised or not, this is not okay.
The packaging does say ages 4+. Not trying to be judgey, but you might want to rethink that. It would take a split second for a 1 year old to pop one in their mouth. Not worth the risk. Just my unsolicited 2 cents. 🙂
My daughter got these for her birthday and her and another girl at the party got a bunch stuck in their hair. We spent nearly THREE HOURS getting them all out of their hair!! I immediately threw them out afterwards. I had no idea what they were, so didn’t even think of them getting stuck in hair. They DEFINITELY should come with a warning label!!!
Bummer! Thanks for the honest feedback Katie!
My kids love them! Yes we had 1 hair incident, but lesson learned. I’d get more. I love seeing what the kids come up with!
Glad to hear they have enjoyed them! Thanks for sharing!
My kids loved these but they got stuck in my daughter’s hair, all her dolls hair and our littlest dog, plus they stuck to the rugs in my kids rooms. Great creative toy but not worth the hair loss in my opinion :/ We threw them all away.
Darn! Good to know how easily they can attach themselves to hair, fur and rugs. Thanks for the honest review!
My daughter also loved them! She was 6 when she had them. She and her younger brother knew not to put them in her hair or her dolls hair. Little did I know, I should have explained this to our 8 year old neighbor who came over and put them all in my daughter’s hair!!! I’m still not sure why she didn’t say anything. I couldn’t get them out… sadly, I had to cut her hair =( I definitely agree that they should only be for kids probably 10 and up.
