Tum-E Yummies’ cool bottles and delicious flavors allow kids to be kids, while no sodium, 50 calories and 100% daily value of Vitamins C, B6 & B12 is something parents can feel good about.
Yuck. Worse than Koolaid. These were a freebie at Kroger last year and I poured them out.
I like em and I’m not a kid! Lol
They are SOOOOO bad for you! One of the few things I won’t even buy even if it’s free!
Only 13g of sugar? Ick. Not crucifying the messenger, but I often see these and wonder why these would ever be a good option.
Thank you, Cassandane and Brandy! I can not say enough about how much stuff is being poured down our kids’ throats billed as ‘healthy’, resulting in diabetes, excess weight, and a ton of other issues (yes, I know that moderation is key, and it is possible to be occasionally unhealthy without adverse health effects, but it is frequently not the case). So many products have added vitamins that do not absorb well or at all, but they are used to entice parents and kids. Lack of sodium is not a sign of a good product either. Sorry, had to get it off my chest. I am seeing a trend of ‘drinks’ replacing juices and water, processed stuff presented as a good alternative to fresh foods, and it scares me.
When my child comes home from school saying “why can’t I have Lunchables for lunch like my friend does every day?” it takes all my willpower not to respond “because I do happen to love you”.
I second that!😊
Im going to refrain from being “negative & judgy”. I personally let me kids have something like this occassionally. Once every now and then will not kill your child. I will get these and save them for a car trip as a “treat”.
I have 4 kids that can’t gain weight. They are less then 1%. I give them whole milk and add cream. I still can’t get them to gain weight. We eat lots of veggies but how do you gain weight on fruit and veggies? My kids munch down on pizza, and bacon, they eat 14 eggs between them for breakfast, they frequent waffles, I think the weight issue is based on individuals, not as a group. Eat what you need to be healthy, not what people say you should eat. I learned that a long time ago. Everyone is different.
My kids are no different. I used to put butter on everything they ate. Everything! They were always smaller kids and still are. Honestly, the sugary drinks concern me more for my kids’ teeth than what is being consumed in their bodies. Moderation is perfectly fine. My kids will never be obese. They are inheriting some skinny genes. It’s not about that, but I do know what it’s like to get a cavity fill (and so does my son and that experience was traumatizing) and want to avoid that at all cost. Totally cool with treating my kids. Life is short. But these look like popsicles melted. Warm. Just sounds… not delicious. Hand them a Reese’s cup instead. Hah!
It’s no so much the weight thing as it is – what does this do to your pancreas? This or any high sugar drink does not do your body any good. And in the long run your kids could develop diabetes. Sadly, in this country – it’s not every once in a while that parents are giving this crap to their children. It’s on a daily or weekly basis.
print them and send em to me! lol please martindemeka@gmail.com
