Call your local game stop to see if the specific store has any pre orders left. I just preordered last night in the store.

I went to Gamestop yesterday and was able to do a preorder with $50 deposit.
I was just at a Walmart and they were still taking pre order. I didnt cancel the 2 have on order with other places for they (Walmart) seemed lost. It might be worth your time if you can get a confidence level from your Walmart.
I believe Target.com is now taking pre orders.
It looks like gamestop has some to pre-order now through the link.
