I have this printer and love it! Awesome price.
How much for the cartridge refills? Do they last long? Thanks!
Last time I got a 2 pack (black and color) from walmart.com for 36.99. In store they were like 18 for black and 23 for color. Hope that helps!
How’s cartridge price?
I buy mine from ebay or https://www.4inkjets.com/. Great prices- mom’s printer ink costs $75+ for color and b&w, but on there, I got 2 of each for only $34!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great questions
Awesome to hear how much you have liked it! Thanks for sharing!
I have had this printer for a short time now and if your planning on getting this printer you NEED to buy a printer USB cord for it too. I moved and couldn’t use it at all due to it being connected to my previous wifi. It was necessary to have one to set it up again to my new wifi or to even use it at all because it just wouldn’t work again without the USB connection setup. Also you never know when it might give you wifi issues so better to have it on hand then have a useless printer like I did. You can get them inexpensively at Amazon with 2 day shipping.
Thanks for the helpful tip! Good to know!
$ 55.00 for double pack if you go to the link it gives all the details.
54.99 for the duel color and about 25.00 for single black according to Best Buy.com. Typically after a search you csn find a cheaper ink deal.
Couldn’t find printer or ink on amazon,or refill ink.
I bought a similar product on clearance for $30. It was a Brother, it came with the USB cable, and black and color cartridges. When it came time to replace the cartridges, I was in SHOCK, to say the least. The double pack cost $70 and single was $35. Wow, it was more than what I originally paid for the printer and the two cartridges. I saw a Kodak printer, very similar to this model, being offered for $20 at Amazon, and it came with two cartridges. Kodak cartridges are a lot cheaper than Brother. Personally, I have never done ink refills, but I think that for a couple of dollars more, I might as well as stock-up on printers. It’s cheaper than buying the cartridges.
I had a Kodak printer for a while. The ink was cheaper, but it did not last nearly as long as other brands. I eventually got rid of it and went with an Epson. I was able to find off brand ink cartridges that worked perfectly on Amazon for half the price of the Epson cartridge, and the Epson doesn’t constantly disconnect from Wi-Fi like my Kodak did.
Does this come with ink cartridges or do you have to buy them separately to start with?
It comes with a starter set but it contains less than ones you would actually buy at the store.
Okay thanks!
I have this printer it’s a great printer
However I go through cartridges very quickly
I don’t print much and I just replaced it two months ago and I need a new one already
I’m thinking about buying this printer because it’s cheaper than the cartridges
I could open a printer store due to buying printers just for the ink. As someone said previously its cheaper to buy the printer WITH the ink already in it….as seen here. I guess I wont run out of printers to use anytime soon… I bought 2 with a few best buy rewards(a few weeks ago) and paid a little over a $1 for both printers with ink…:)
You are better off getting a laser printer. The ink lasts forever and it is also a lot cheaper
I had this printer and ink at bestbuy is $25 each but I always get my double pack on eBay for around $30. Just a few weeks ago I got a new printer because this one just goes through ink so fast! Not recommended if you’re going to be printing a lot
Thanks for the honest review Linda! Sorry to hear how quickly the ink ran out 🙁
LIke some others, I bought this printer when it was on sale a few weeks ago. You do need a USB cord in order for your wifi system to be able to identify the wireless printer. It was a huge hassle to set up. After the identification has been made, you should be able to get rid of the USB cord & use the printer wirelessly. Conversely, I bought a wireless HP printer for $29 about a month ago. It was extremely easy to set up & required no cord. I would gladly pay the extra 10 for a printer that is easy to set up.
I have this same printer and I didn’t have to hook up anything to connect to the wifi. I put in the cd and it was a breeze. You do have to hit the wifi button on the printer when the computer is trying to connect to the printer. It was simple to set up for me. Just want to throw that out there for others. 🙂
Great. Glad it worked for you. The USB cord is necessary for those of us who are running Windows XP.
Sold out 🙁
Bummer! I am seeing that now as well 🙁
Keep checking. I am seeing it for 19.99
I still see the price as $19.99, however just above it I find the Sold Out message 🙁 Bummer!
I was still able to place and order for one.
Sweet! Looks like it is back again! Thanks for the heads up! Just updated the post!
Can I print from my phone & can I just get cartridge refills?
Will Target price match this deal if they carry it? It isn’t available from my Best Buy till 2 weeks from now.
I was able to have one shipped free to my son in Arizona. Way cool! Thanks Colin. BTW I have my cartridges filled at Costco for about $12 each. The cost depends on the model.
Sweet! Glad you could have it shipped to him! You’re very welcome!
Guys, you will pay a lot more for ink for an inkjet printer than for a laser. If you are a real couponer and not just an occasional hobby couponer you would need to get a laser printer like brother. The ink last sooo much longer and Hip2Save would always post it when they are on sale. Sometimes you can get them from the office supply stores for around 80-60. I am printing coupons around the clock and my ink (compatible with original) would last me for around 3-6 months. I usually pay around 20 on Amazon for 2 cartridges that would last forever. Also inkjet coupons don’t scan as good as laser ink coupons. Just keep that in mind. Cheap is not always cheap!
Ugh……………………………….seriously?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!.!!!?!.!..!?!.!.!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! DO………………….NOT……………………………………….BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought this printer on Cyber Monday. It comes with black and color cartridges. I am able to print from my phone. I just had to replace the black, as it is not an xl cartridge. I just refilled it with ink from my last Canon printer kit. It is working fantastic for our use. I scan most everything to flash drives, so the scanner is really important. It is a little noisier than my last Epson (Died one month after warranty), but we don’t print in the middle of the night, so is fine.
Price is now $24.99
Thank you, Thank YOU, thanking YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! I just bought it (through swagbucks) and I’m so relieved! I was about to buy one from Kmart that was $60ish…was going to buy it today in fact. I was looking for one with a fax machine too, but I figure I can find one on ebay for around $10ish or hey, maybe you’ll post a deal sometime! 🙂
Is says sold out now.
Darn! Thanks for letting me know…just updated!
