Yes, it is inside the freezer. We have this fridge and LOVE IT!!! I would strongly recommend it.

I’ve had my side by side for almost 25 yrs now and its just now beginning to show signs of wear and tear, not from the outside but the inside on the fridge side, I have an on door ice maker and it had to be fixed last yr, I was considering getting a new fridge but I talk myself out of it every time and say hold on to this one until it can’t go anymore. I was reading the reviews on this one and for the most part they did not seem all that great, I mean I really like the way it looks but I guess I’m spoiled, if I have not had any problems with the one I have then I don’t need to bring a new one in the house with problems from the very beginning:(
we have the counter-depth version of this fridge (not sure if that’s the exact same as the model here, but it looks the same) and we love it!
