I have 3 of these and this post makes me want to buy another.
Lol. That good huh? Worth buying ?
Yes it is definitely worth buying more than one!
Yes. Every mom needs one!
What’s the difference between this one and the other one on Amazon that’s going for 79.99?
This one has a yogurt function and you can cook in high OR low pressure. Oh, and there are sits in the handle that hold the lid that is nice
Do note, the instant pot that is pictured here isn’t the one on sale at Target. The one in the picture here is the Bluetooth one, the one at Target is not
Okay! Thank you so much for clarifying 🙂
Thanks for sharing Holly! The image has been updated!
I love mine. So glad I bought myself one for Christmas. Soups and stews are so easy to make, cheesecake, and I’ve made babyback ribs more since I bought it than in my entire adult life. The ribs just turn out amazing.
Oh awesome! Great to hear you have been able to make so many yummy foods with your instant pot! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve been hearing lots of good things about this! I was actually telling my mom about it today! I’m always rushing trying to make dinner so I think this would help a lot!
This is the single best kitchen tool I own!! I have so many friends who’ve gotten one on my recommendation and they’ve all fallen in love like me. You will NOT regret it!
I think I need to get more recipes on how to utilize this for 2 people.
It’s amazing for cooking rice or other grains like quinoa or farro, as well as dried beans. I also love it for making shredded/pulled chicken, beef or pork in a tiny fraction of the time of using a crock pot. I will throw a couple chicken breasts or thighs in with Frank’s buffalo sauce and some ranch seasoning for 35 min on high pressure for awesome shredded buffalo chicken. Or I do chipotle style barbacoa shredded beef (food.com has an awesome copycat recipe for barbacoa that tastes JUST like from chipotle). You can also cook an entire chicken in it for about 25 minutes (I season it and brown the skin first using the Saute function or on the stove top if it’s a bigger chicken) and it comes out extremely tender like a rotisserie chicken. I absolutely love my instant pot, it has endless uses and is so handy 🙂
Is this big enough for a family of five? Three kids are all boys.
We are a family of 6 (3 boys included!) and the 6qt works well for us.
FYI mine was much cheaper than thIs on Amazon on Black Friday and I’ve read that a March mark down on the IP happened last year I think. My sis also got one last summer during an Amazon sale for much cheaper as well ($65?)
RUN!!! GO GET IT NOW. It is certainly worth every penny. I have had mine for about six months and I am in LOVE. We make a ton of soups, broth, ghee, ribs… I have not even began to explore all it can do.
Sweet! Thanks so much for the great review! 🙂
Whats the difference between this and the pressure cooker?
The instant pot is a pressure cooker. It’s just the brand name.
I agree with all of the comments – the IP is a must-have! I’ve had mine for over a year now, and I use it at least twice a week, if not more. Anything from a beef pot roast, to white chicken chili, to rice, and more! Also, you can even throw in frozen chicken breasts and they’re done and tender in 15 minutes!
How cool! Thanks so much for sharing your experience Samantha!
Forgive me if this is a stupid question but, what is this difference between this & a crockpot besides the price 😅
Presssure cookers cook MUCH faster than crock pots. With my crock pot I have to get up early and do prep work and plan the meals hours in advance.
With my pressure cooker I can throw in my chicken breast and potatoes in when I get off work and it’s ready within 30 minutes. The best part is I can do my own thing during that time and don’t have to watch it.
