Thanks, Collin and Crew! I have been buying book after book after book this week. With each order, Amazon has been offering me the “no rush” shipping option. This means that I got the “First Words” board book for under 40 cents!
A bit of topic… I noticed yesterday that my “No Rush” shipping is now offering a “$20 reward for Amazon Home Services” instead of a media credit. I’m not sure how I feel about that. 😕
I haven’t had the media credit for a long time now. All I get is the $5 off Amazon pantry now.
What a great score! You’re so welcome Deb! Great to hear you have been able to snag the hot book deals this week! 😉
I’m expecting my first (a boy) in July! Does anyone have recommendations on a great, classic book that can be kept for a long time and passed down? I’d like to use it as the guest book at his baby shower. Thanks!
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
Oh, and BTW, your idea of using it as a guest book is very clever!
We love Happy Birthday to You by Dr. Seuss! My kids look forward to reading it as their bedtime story on their bday, even my almost 11yr old.
Curious George comes to mind–I ended up reading Goodnight Moon and the Sandra Boynton books (Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs, The Going to Bed Book) in board book format over and over, but because they were short and board books they saw a lot of destructive affection from my boys. Curious George is loved by my boys too, but it’s longer and doesn’t come in board book format, I believe.
Oh the Places You’ll Go by Dr Suess
My 3yr son LOVES THE FOLLOWING BOOKS (He has now memorized the lines)
good night moon, good night goon (Halloween version) green eggs and ham, brown bear brown bear, the very hungry caterpillar, I love you forever, Hand Hand Fingers, Thumb (Dr. Seuss) Stone soup, Harold and the purple crayon
Ohh a very FUN book we just purchased is”Press here” it’s a book filled with different instructions. I’d highly recommend checking it out on Amazon it’s a 5 stars with 1,795 reviews
I suggest “You’re Here!” by Karla Oceanak. Our son has this book and the next in the series, “You’re One”. Very sweet book with adorable pictures. I get teary eyed whenever we read it. Congratulations! Babies are a wonderful gift!
I’ll Live You Forever is a book we’ve had in my family for decades 🙂
Merry Christmas Stinky Face is $2.19 and Goodnight Goon is $2.71
Great finds! Thanks for sharing!
I got my son a few funny & cute rhyming sight word books recently on Amazon as well ! They were $3.49 half price hard cover books! “Gran On A Fan” and “Lazy Bear Crazy Bear”
They were perfect for him to learn kindergarten sight words! Fun to read too! Also TRex Cottontail was $2.99!
Bought another 4 books. My library is looking quite nice;) Books are one of my favorite gifts to give at this age. Just can’t resist,Thank You:)
Happy you could snag some on the cheap! You’re most welcome!
I got the Dot-to-Dot (count to 30) on a previous Hip2Save deal for my 4 year-old daughter. If anyone is on the fence, these books are made of really nice, high quality paper. I also love that they have a number line at the top of each page to help kids who are just learning to count. I just noticed that Dot-to-Dot (count to 25) is only $1.23 today too so I may pick up another one for our gift closet.
Oh awesome! Thanks for the feedback Christine!
Thanks for the reviews on these! We are getting ready to do a big road trip and I think my son would really like these.
