On the fence? Lina’s (our DIY gal) Cricut Explore Air review –
I love the Cricut because it was easy to setup and worked the very first time I tried it. They walk you through exactly how to use it and how to make a cute greeting card project – so it teaches you.
The preset projects in the Cricut Design Space were perfect for learning and easy to understand. I also loved the marker feature of the Cricut for really fun written details! I love the tool storage on the Cricut machine too!
I am not an expert in this type of cutting machine crafting but was able to make these projects easily on the first day and had lots of FUN!
My experience with the Silhouette machine was very difficult and the opposite. I had a hard time loading the mat just right, and the setup was awkward in my opinion (this was also three years ago, so maybe the machine has changed a bit?).
I would LOVE a deal like this on a Silhouette Cameo3!! 😉
What’s the difference between the two machines?
My biggest hesitation with getting a Cricut is that the current model has to have a WiFi connection in order to work, the Silhouette does not. Wifi is terribly unpredictable at my house lately, so I definitely don’t want to go with the Cricut for that reason.
It’s not necessary to have a connection to WIFI to use Cricut Explore Air 2. This option is given if you are using your phone or tablet to create a project. If you are using your computer that has an usb port WIFI is not necessary!
What machine do you recommend for first time buyers. I have never had one but really want to get one.
Yes I want to know
Help! I joined Cricut Access members but, it’s not giving me an additional discount. Any suggestions?
Which type of Cricut Access did you get? Theres the Cricut Access Fonts, Cricut Access Standard and Cricut Access Platinum. Make sure you are logged into your account and once you have the item in your cart and go to checkout, that’s where you’ll see the discount savings.
I’m having the same issue – not sure how the extra 10% off works for access members.
I got it – I was on the basic plan, had to cancel that one and upgrade…
How do you upgrade? Just buy the font’s package?
I got! Thank you!
I already had the explore machine, and wanted to upgrade to the new explore 2, which was excluded from the “hip2save” coupon code, however, I was able to use “mysterymarch” for free shipping along with the cricut access 10% off, in total I saved $260 on the bundle that I wanted. awesome deal!! Just wanted to share in case there were any others that already had the explore and wanted the new machine.
how do you make all those disney shirts and such, does this machine do all that? is there extra programs you need for say a Mickey cutout? would love more info from a beginner..
