My chiropractor was just telling me to try this! Thanks for this deal!
Perfect! You’re welcome Melissa!
You need to consume this with black pepper. It’s not bioavailable alone.
-an annoyed nutritionist
Leigh, what is “bioavailable.” Oh, maybe “biodegradable”? Only reason I ask is that my pain clinic recommended this. I’ve taken it since November and feel no difference, so just gonna finish out my supply and be done. Hopefully it works for others.
Lisa, I’m gonna assume at the three messages here are from the same person and that you now understand that I did mean bioavailable, meaning the amount of a nutrient that your body can access. Just because a food is nutrient dense doesn’t mean your body can access it.
TBH, organic turmeric and organic black pepper from the spice aisle at Whole Foods would be fine. No need to consume extracts in such large amounts, without a physician or nutritionist’s guidance.
Is this what you’re referring to?
INCREASED BIOAVAILABILITY DU TO BIOPERINE® – BioPerine® is an extract of black pepper that allows 4 times better absorption of turmeric so you can be sure to get all the health benefits it could give to your body.
Wow, I had no idea! Thank you.
Thank you! My rhemy had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for a recommendation of a good turmeric supplement with a bioavailability booster! (And it was her suggestion to start taking turmeric ;))
This is why it’s important to run physicians recommendations through an RD.
It’s available at the same price without subscribe and save.
I use Doctor’s Best brand Curcumin and it’s works as well as/better than ibuprofen for my pain & inflammation, without the risks!
Oh cool! Thanks for the helpful feedback Kathleen!
Thanks! It is great to hear about brands that people have had success with.
Hi! I took tumeric supplements for about three months and I thought I’d share my experience with it. It gave me insomnia, nausea, stomach and muscle aches. I was definitely bummed because I’d heard such wonderful things about it. I’ll continue to use it in foods because it’s tasty and good for you but in supplement form it just didn’t work out. Just though I’d share my experience. I’m happy for all of you that love it! 🙂
Oh bummer! Sorry to hear about that 🙁 Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
Thank you Collin! I have ordered this before when you’ve posted it and I will order again!
I have been taking this for about six months now for some arthritic pain in my elbows and knees. My pain was not severe but just annoying and now it is gone. I would definitely recommend this because it has truly helped me. Thanks! 😊
So happy to hear this has helped take away your pain Sharon! You’re most welcome!
You can order online from Costco for the same price per milligram.
I don’t know what the Costco price is, but the turmeric supplement I got from there does contain black pepper.
I ordered these last time I saw them posted on here and the bottle that was shipped to me was expired. So just be careful. We now just buy them from costco because they are pretty much the same price and contain black pepper (and I can check the expiration date before I buy them!)
Oh bummer! Were you able to contact amazon for a refund or replacement?
