I believe this is the same price as on the Disneyland site , am I missing something that makes this a savings?
Never mind I just saw you put the Disneyland site as well.
Just a heads up that your link about the 18 Free Things to do at Disney is only about Disney World, and while some things apply, most do not apply to Disneyland. 🙂
Thanks for the feedback Shannon! I just updated the linked title to that post to include “World”. 😉
Does anyone know when/if these expire? Or if u need to go by a certain date? Please and thanks
From Disney site : “The first day of use of multi-day tickets must be on or before December 31, 2018. Multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 13, 2019, whichever occurs first.”
How I wish there is a deal to save on disneyworld tickets!
Me too!!!!!
Dianne, if you have school aged children consider signing them up for Disney’s Youth Education Series. They give a guided tour of a particular park, including a few fast pass entrances to popular rides. In signing up for the program you are purchasing discounted tickets as well. We haven’t been in last couple of years but last time the 5day park hopper was about $100 less than undercovertourist.com. which is also cheaper than website prices.
We would only need 2 days of base tickets for Disneyworld. But thank you, maybe next time when we are not traveling with extended family, we’ll do this! Thanks again!
How I wish I could convince my husband to go this summer! LOL. He hates crowds. I love Disneyland!
I think the price went up just recently! It was $30 cheaper for 3 day park tickets for two few months ago when I was planning a trip to Disneyland in April.
Getawaytoday.com has them cheaper.
3 day hopper here is $1216 for 4 people
on getaway – $1228
First time going to Disneyland with the family. Haven’t been since I was a kid. Could someone explain to me what park hopper and fast passes mean? What the difference between park hopper and regular tickets? Any advice? Thank you!
Hopper means you can go to more than one park in the same day. Totally don’t need it at Disney World as 1 park will wear you out, and some parks take 2 days to do everything. Disney land it seems to be more common to hop. When the hopper option first came out of was way cheaper, only like $20/ticket no matter how many days you bought.
Fast past means you get assigned a time window for a specific ride. You will bypass most of the line when you show up at your time. You only get like 3 passes at a time and can only get more after using all you passes. So if you pick a late time, you can’t get anymore all day. So get your fast passes early, and get more as soon as you can.
Park hopper tickets allow you to visit both Disneyland and California Adventure Park on the same day. the regular tickets allow entrance to one park per day only. I’m not sure about fast passes at Disneyland, but fast passes generally allow you skip the line at certain number of rides; you specify ahead of time what time you’re interested in riding that ride and then when you get there you don’t have to wait in line. I’ve never bought them at Disneyland so am not 100% sure.
Also, if you’re Southern California resident (and some areas of N. California too), you can purchase discounted tickets at Ralphs. They’re $50 per day when you buy 3 day ticket, but can only visit one park per day. HTH
As of right now, Disneyland and Disney World have very different Fastpass systems. If you are going to Disneyland, check out Disneyland Daily to find out the best way to tour the park. I have no connection to the website or her Facebook site – but have gained so much knowledge by following it. Disneyland uses paper fastpasses but changes are coming (MaxPass) that will allow access to fastpasses on your phone.
Personally I think park hoppers are overrated. It’s tiring enough to walk through one park but then to head over and explore another one is too much for my family. But, I can see the draw. If you are going during a time when one park closes early (say for the Mickey’s Halloween party, which requires a separate ticket), then it’s nice to have the flexibility to go over to Disney California Adventure. If you have young kids, seriously consider the one park per day option. It is less money too.
Thanks so much for your replies! Very helpful. That’s why I love this site! Wish me luck surviving Disney!
If you’re military you can get 3 and 4 day park hopper tickets to Disneyland and California Adventure by showing your Military ID. We did it last year and got the 3 day park hopper for $140 something… and we just went a few weeks ago again and got the 4 day park hopper for $181.
Agreed. If your milirary you can get the 4 day park hopper for disneyland for $219 per person.
Do you know if the Military tickets are for Active Duty only?
I am 100% Service Connected, Permanent Total disabled. My ID is tan/beige.
Found my own answer at Military Tickets & Travel for San Diego Fleet & Family Readiness Programs.
Three day Park Hopper = $153.25; BUT there are Blackout dates.
Disney way too crowded. We have season passes and when we go. We end of leaving in 4 hours and going to universal. Still love Disneyland though. Just not worth the crowds right now.
Does anyone know if the Citypass is really a good deal? https://www.citypass.com/southern-california?sitelinks=SoCalCityPASS&mv_source=rkg&adpos=1t1&creative=163933193691&device=m&matchtype=e&network=g&gclid=CjwKEAjw_PfGBRDW_sutqMbQsmMSJAAMpUap2_VbxGKX3Ito0legFZ4NyJvE14ZfSjic42fRpzdAZhoCArrw_wcB
It depends if you were planning to visit all the places listed. If so, it’s a good deal. If not, it isn’t.
Did anyone notice the hidden Mickey in the first image above? The glove on the left is definitely not Pluto’s…
Haha yes I noticed it.
