To sign up, GO HERE, answer a couple of questions, and take a short 5-minute survey.
Once you’ve been accepted, Pinecone Research will send you an email notification when there’s an available survey. After you complete the survey and earn points, you’ll be able to redeem them for either cash or prizes. You may also occasionally be sent a product to test, too.

Here are the best tips to help maintain a long-term relationship with Pinecone Research:
- If you are going out of town or on vacation for an extended period of time, be sure to contact Pinecone and provide the dates you will be unavailable, and your surveys will be suspended during that time.
- Be sure to complete every survey. Pinecone routinely monitors member participation, and members who are unable to maintain acceptable participation levels may be removed from the program.

I love Pinecone Research. I just finished doing product testing for t-paper. I’ve never collected my points since I started doing these, so I just checked, and I’m at over 40,000. I’ll have to go back and look through the reward pages.
You can get the funds electronically sent to your bank account, as well… they show up in your account the next day after you transfer the funds… I have made pretty good side money from Pinecone over the years… I would definitely check them out if you like doing the surveys 🙂
I’ve done surveys with Pinecone Research for a few years. They are awesome at targeting the right products to test for your household! I was shocked looking back at my account that after my first year with them, I earned $193 altogether, and we tested 5-6 products as well, which was always interesting and fun!
I have been receiving at least two surveys a week. We are a large family, maybe that makes a difference. I cash mine out each time and add to my Amazon gift card balance 🙂
I’ve been doing this for years. Occasionally, they will send you the product to sample and review again. It’s been fun!
I would strongly advise against joining them. Since they have “revamped” their program, they have gone down hill. Their payout on a lot of surveys are way less-even on longer surveys. Surveys are now “glitchy” and will mess you out of your points though you complete surveys. Customer service is nonexistent-they no longer respond to messages. Lastly, they changed it where your points expire. The last one they implemented without notice to me and I ended up losing over $100 worth of points. So, while once great, they are now very shady with their practices and I would recommend skipping on Pinecone Research.

I second that, with the new update you will end up doing a 10min pre-survey to find out you don’t qualify every time. Since the update I haven’t qualified for one survey yet
I completely agree with Brittany. I completed an entire survey to find out it closed before I was done. I didn’t get compensated for completing the survey and customer service was no help at all.
Recently, another survey locked up and, again no compensation. I would strongly urge using another survey site.
I totally agree with the post about avoiding Pinecone Research. The survey opportunities aren’t like they used to be. And thanks, Brittany, because our post made me check my account. (In the past, I would’ve been on the site regularly and have been aware. But without the survey opportunities, it wasn’t on my mind.) I just learned that I’ve lost a ton of points this year. Too embarrassed to reveal how much. Most companies nowadays send a reminder that points are about to expire. And when they don’t, I side eye them. They can send so many emails about everything else, but not something that will make a customer happy so easily? I’m redeeming what points I have and keeping my distance from Pinecone Research.

I signed up in 2020 and everything was fine until the revamp. I’ve done a few surveys for no payout. Customer service says they hope payout issues will be fixed in a few weeks, but that was a few weeks ago.
