Love my city pickers. Planted strawberries in it last year and they’re still growing and have fruit already.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool! Great to hear how well it has worked to grow your fruit Lisa! Thanks for sharing your experience!

I love this and want to try it. Any suggestions on what to grow?

    • Wendy

Last year I planted 3 city pickers with a variety of peppers, eggplant (patio/container size), and cherry tomatoes. I love these containers and the convenience of them being on the deck.

      • Christy

Last year I grew cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and strawberries in mine. The cucumbers and lettuce were growing like crazy despite me not putting the lime and extra fertilizer in. I bought a second box this year because the strawberries have come back( and taken over) and I wanted some room to expand. This year I added a bunch of started Bonnie plants when they were 4 for $12 including lavender, stevia and basil. My Home Depot seems to carry this product for the “sale” price all year round.

I got two last year, they’re great gifts and my husband and dad loved!

  9. Mona

I have this. I’m not much of a gardener but was able to successfully plant tomatoes and herbs in this last year. Recommend it for those who want to garden but don’t want it to be hard work.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the great review Mona! Good to know!

  10. Allison

I bought 2 of these last year and bought 2 more this year. I absolutely love them. It is nice they are on casters so they can be easily moved. I got them for $19.98 in store last week with no need to get a price override. Highly recommend for container gardening.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing your experience Allison!

  11. Missy

I purchased this last year but didn’t have much success with it. I’ll have to pull it back out and figure out what I did wrong

    • a. rich

Missy, according to the directions you have to add lime did you add that?

      • Missy

No, maybe that’s my problem. I’ll try agin this year

        • Chris

Make sure you put half dirt, layer of lime, other half of dirt and then put the plant food in a trough in the middle, we’ve used these for about 4 years and have has great success each year with tomatoes, peppers and many herbs!

          • Lisa

Do you have to dump it out and relayed everything the next year?

  12. Kathryn K

I purchased in store. It rang up 19.98. Used old gift card I had.

  13. Susie

Bought one last year and did really well with cherry tomatoes and basil. Bought another one this winter..should have waited : )
