I bought this last time it was on sale and I LOVE IT!!!! Worth every penny!

    • Steph S

Agreed! I did the exact same thing and came to say the exact same words – haha!

      • Mourrene

How is it better than Keurig? I’m trying to talk myself out of buying one, lol! 😊

        • Kelly

It’s better than the Keurig because it’s cheaper in the long run! No more pods and no more messing with the mesh pod. I find that it makes stronger coffee and the added frother works great! I highly recommend mine to anyone who asks about it.

          • Mourrene

That’s enough to make me want to buy. The pods are a pain and the coffee is never really hot enough with the Keurig, imo.

            • Wren

Mourrene, you can adjust the water temperature for your Keurig (at least with ours you can). We like ours very hot too.

        • Kate

Way better! Plus it’s REAL coffee, great taste! I hate the pods since they are just instant coffee and taste like it. I bought the NINJA last time it was on sale and threw my keurig away!

      • Jess

Me too! Lol. We love it too!! This is a good deal!

    • dilek

I had to return Ninja Coffee Bar Single-Serve System. It had extremely strong plastic taste especially when the frother was used. If you look at the Facebook page there are lots of complaint about the issue….
I also did not like that you have to heat the milk somewhere else first then froth it.

      • Sarah

Do you think it could be the cup you are using? I can taste a difference between using tervis, stainless steel, and mugs.

        • dilek

No, i tried different cups and also tried brewing with or without filter too. Like i said reading from the facebook and experimenting plastic smell were stronger when i used frother because it is plastic.

          • Sarah

Bummer. thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

      • ash

Frothing milk is generally heated. That’s why coffee shops have steaming wands. It isn’t whipped cream.

I’m so excited. My Keurig died this am and I told hubby, next time I see a deal on the Ninja coffee bar I am going to buy it as my sister said she loves it. Great timing on this deal – thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome!

Sorry ahead of time for the dumb question. Does this make espresso? My husband is a coffee nut and wants an expresso maker.

    • JaxJay

You need a machine that heats the coffee up to a specific temp and applies specific pressure to make true espresso so no, this can’t make “real” espresso. But I’m sure it makes a great coffee. They have fine ground coffees that are “espresso” flavored. HTH

    • Shelby

That’s what I was wondering too! I’ve been wanting an espresso maker but they are really expensive. The nespresso machines are the cheapest but I don’t really get that whole “thing”. I just want some cortados on demand lol 😂

      • islandtimejen

I highly recommend the Nescafé Dolce Gusto for espresso drinks!! My Husband and I love ours. I buy the pods at bedbathandbeyond.com using coupons. They have a variety of espresso and coffee drinks- even Cortados. LOL 😂

      • Jess

We don’t make espresso everyday so we just use a stovetop espresso maker. It makes okay espresso — partly depends on the beans as well.

  4. Sarah

This blows keurig out of the water! You actually get fresh brewed coffee in the same amount of time as keurig. Worth every penny and definitely no plastic taste. Just fresh yummy coffee

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for the awesome review Sarah! Glad to hear what great coffee this system makes!

I keurig bit the dust. I am giving this a try. Thanks for the post!

We have this and the Keurig. I like them both for different reasons. The Ninja coffee bar seems more environmentally friendly as it does not have all those pods to put in the landfill. It does make a decent cup of coffee, but in my opinion, the coffee is no better than my Keurig. We do like to make the espresso drinks, so the mild frother is a plus. The down side to the frother is that you have to heat up the milk in a different cup prior to using it. All those extra steps first thing in the morning are too much for this anti-morning person! The other negative to the Ninja is that there is no auto-off or auto-on button. You have to turn it on and then wait several minutes for it to get hot enough to brew. I like that my Keurig is hot and ready when I wake up and I just have to stick in the pod and hit go. Hope this review helps someone! We ended up keeping our Keurig and the Ninja, we just use one at home and one at work.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience Eliz! Good to know!

  8. Faith

Ok, We have a small coffee problem in my house. We have 3 different Coffee machines. Yes, the Ninja is my favorite. I love my iced coffee, and have tried other methods. The Ninja makes really good iced coffee. I just tried a few different ways and the iced coffee turned out great in the end. I have to drink decaffeinated coffee and have a hard time getting my iced coffee without caffeine. This machine is amazing.

    • Amy

I also have a small coffee problem 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool! Thanks for the feedback!

    • Valerie

Faith, I love iced coffee and am debating buying this for that reason. Can you tell me how you make it and what you have to buy to make it. Thanks

  9. HJ

Thanks! I bought one for my husband! Will give it to him on Father’s day!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)
