Heads Up! Over 200,000 Pounds of Nathan’s Famous & Beef Master Hot Dogs Have Been Recalled
Do you have hot dogs in your fridge or freezer? 🌭
If so, you may be interested to know that the United States Department of Agriculture has issued a recall on more than 200,000 pounds worth of John Morrell and Co. beef frank products due to possible foreign matter contamination. The beef franks were produced on January 26, 2017 and include:
- Nathan’s Skinless 8 Beef Franks 14 oz. sealed film package w/ use by date of Aug. 19, 2017
- Curtis Beef Master Beef Franks 16 oz. sealed film package w/ use by date of June 15, 2017
To find out if the hot dogs you purchased are included in this recall, head HERE for full details. You are urged not to consume these products – throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
So I’m guessing the 12 oz package of the bun length are excluded? I just checked the package we have in the fridge, where we have already eaten 4 of them. But wouldn’t you know it, I seemed to have cut open the package right where the date must of been stamped!
It appears to be only the “Nathan’s Skinless 8 Beef Franks 14 oz.” and ” Curtis Beef Master Beef Franks 16 oz.” Hope this helps!
Gross. Haven’t eaten Nathan’s hotdogs since 1994
