I called the store and they said it was supposed to be half off from the original price. It was a typo in their part. Instead of $199, it was listed as $19.88

Even on the website when I search the tent and clicked on it took me to homepage. I think it’s all said and done, as they say. Before that I was in checkout, doubt it would let me or probably cancel the order.

I called the store and they told me it was a misprint. They are not honoring the $19.99 price.
Corporate office said they absolutely will not honor this price for anyone- the Dicks computers will not allow it to be put in and sold for this price period.

All those who claim to have bought it at that price are lying, I have called several stores and all agree that it is a mistake, the actual price is 199.99.

Heidy – that is not a nice thing to say. Happy to hear some people scored!! Hope no one loses their job over it if that is the case. It’s bad business for them not to immediate correct the pricing on their site.
I think that possibly taking advantage of this huge of an error may be pushing it.
Sorry if this comes off as an unpopular opinion, I love a bargain just as much as anyone else, but not at somebody else’s expense.
It is clearly an error, and we love for our own errors to be forgiven, but somehow think that large corporate stores owe us something. Think of the employee who made that mistake and may lose their job if enough people insist on a price match.
Yea, probably a very unpopular opinion, especially amongst bargain hunters such as ourselves…. but I agree with it. Really sad how people in these comments, even knowing that it was a mistake, physically went to the store to basically con the employees into price-matching the site. They don’t even care if it could come out of said employees’ paycheck. I bet most of the people who got away with that price probably were never even thinking of buying a tent prior, and/or just plan on reselling it. I love a good bargain, but even when it comes to large corporations, I have a conscience. I’m not saying they’re bad people, but just goes to show what money can do to some people.

I was lucky and my store set one aside for me for $19.98!! Have it in my trunk now!! Paid $4 for a year warranty. $25.07 all together with tax!! Awesome deal!

Obviously, a tent like this would never sell at this price during the peak of camping season. SMH! Common sense would tell you it’s a pricing error and based on past experiences we know orders will all get cancelled.

I called them they said it’s a pricing error should be 199.00 and for the people who orders went through they getting email and cancellation and 300 points for inconvenience.
I called customer service after my order was cancelled and was told the item was out of stock and then that it was an incorrect price. I asked her if my order was only cancelled because of the incorrect price and she would not answer my question. So I asked again, and got the same response.

Did anyone actually get shipping confirmation on this item? I was able to purchase the item three different times with shipping to my home and they cancelled all the orders which I think is terrible customer service!
I got a shipping confirmation than a order cancellation with 5 minutes of each other.

They are saying corporate is not allowing for the price to be matched, regardless of the mistake made. They have in stock in the stores but will not honor the price. My suggestion is that everyone submit a complaint to the BBB because unfortunately, regardless of mistake or not, they should be honor the price because it is otherwise baiting customers. The price as of 11:22am pst still shows the $19.99 price. If in fact the it was a mistake, either they should pulled the price online or shut down the site entirely until corrected. The only way this company will learn to provide actual customer service vs. trying to keep their pockets lined is by not shopping there if they don’t honor their price, mistake or not. This isn’t some local mom and pop shop, this is a corporation with investors who don’t care about anything but profits. If the people who were fortunate enough to get their tents at this price help us with evidence, it would help with the complaint to be filed.
I appreciate your comment but I think it’s wrong to file a BBB when this was obviously a pricing mistake. I believe the sale was 50% off and someone obviously missed a digit since this tent was originally almost $400. Dick’s website even states that they may cancel orders in the event of a pricing error so the BBB would side with Dick’s anyway.
