   Kinda clueless here but do you have to have internet service for Echo to work? If so, does it only use the internet when it is performing a command from you? Thanks for any info and tips. Would also appreciate some reviews if you directly have one.

  You have to have wireless internet to use the Echo. I love mine and use it to listen to music and check the weather primarily. The sound quality is excellent!

  Yes you need wifi. It is always on so whenever you say “Alexa”, it can respond to your command. It is awesome for listening to music and has a great quality sound. You can also ask Alexa to tell you the weather, news, etc. As well as order things from Amazon using voice commands. It is a cool gadget for sure.

   This was the one deal I really wanted. I was counting down the seconds and the instant it turned 8pm (central time) I was on that page and got it. By the way, Ibotta is offering 5% cash back for certain prime deals. Sadly I didnt remember that till after id already ordered it. You have to go through the Ibotta app and order it from the page they show for you to get any credit back. Good to check out though
