Bought these last time Wal-Mart was doing their clearance toy sale last fall for $40. They are a really awesome deal, my daughter still loves playing with them
Happy to hear how much she enjoys them! Thanks for sharing!
Oh!! I need this! I’m wondering if I should wait though! I don’t need it until Christmas…
Heather, this is just my opinion: If you need, the price is RIGHT and you have the money, buy it and store it for Christmas. If you are one of those people who can’t save a surprise, give it to a relative to hold for you. I am currently 1/2 done with my Christmas shopping and soon I will be wrapping them. Good luck!
Thanks Lynn! I’m almost done with Christmas shopping as well (or so I tell myself)! I just wasn’t sure if the price would go down in the upcoming months given the comment above, but roughly $5 a doll is pretty good!
Yeah, I understand your reluctance…if I don’t HAVE to have it as the price is a little higher than I want then I just take the chance and wait. If I know I want to buy it regardless of the future price (cuz with a granddaughter who loves Disney princesses I’d LOVE to buy), I will buy it on “discount” even if it’s not as good as the $40 price last fall. It’s just a gamble on whether they will be on clearance again. I assume there will be a sale before the holiday but maybe not the $40 clearance price so to me $5 a doll is good; it’s just hard to spend $60 on one gift for me with all the other unexpected “life” occurrences. Happy shopping though!!!
Of course, shopping only when there is a phenomenal deal to be had on my purchases or using rewards to get things for very little or free (Kmart/Sears).
I purchased for my daughter and I am going to save it until Christmas. I was afraid to wait. She’s been asking for all the princesses and will be so excited!
Question: Did Amazon prime have this on special? I can’t find the dolls using the shipping link for Amazon.
The Rainbow Cove Doll Set is also available from Amazon, through the link in the bottom of the post. Hope this helps!
I missed the $40 sale last year and it was sold out by the time I saw it. I would rather buy it now so I don’t have to literally stalk the site. It’s not worth an extra $20 savings to me. I can now relax and know I got it and still paid a good price.
The quality of these dolls has really changed over the years. They are cheap plastic and the clothes are poorly made. I got the target deal last year but I would buy them again.
Darn! Sorry to hear you did not care for the quality of the dolls. Thanks so much for the honest review!
These dolls are cheap quality and the new body style. Prefer 2014 version that fit Barbie clothes.
Thank you! Got the rainbow cove set for shoeboxes we make at Christmas through Samaritan’s purse! Don’t forget Ebates!
You’re very welcome!
