Potty training for my daughter is taking more time than I thought and training pants are so expensive.
Where can I find good deals on pull ups?

    • Daphne

Aana – there are coupons available on coupons.com for Pampers easy ups and on the Cartwheel site there is a $2/1 Pull-ups or Goodnites (expires tomorrow). I hope that helps you out some 🙂 And you can get the $15 GC on a $75 purchase from Target this week too!

Honestly, we did not find pull-ups to be any different than diapers, and ended up selling ours off just recently even though we are still potty training. Just sharing my experience 🙂

Make sure she it ready to potty train. Does she tell you when she needs to use the potty. With my 2 girls did not use any pull ups just bare bottom around house. Put on diapers ( most of the time a cloth diaper so they know they were wet.)at nap and at night or if went somewhere. Lose fitting shorts or pants when we went outside to play or to do a quick shopping trip if they went potty right before we left.

    Aana,

Don’t use pull-ups they are a waste of money and slow down potty training. Use the three day method to potty train. Get a couple of reusable diapers for overnight and long trips.

I don’t know what the 3-day method is but we just potty trained my 2.5 yo daughter, just had her in undies or naked 🙈 and about the 3rd/4th day she was finally getting it. 👍😅

I did the same with my daughter, started with the Gerber plastic training diaper, for 2 days and then had her in regular underwear, she picked it up real quick. I thought it would take as least a month, but she was running to the bathroom and calling for me to follow after 4 days. She was 21 months at the time.

Thank you so much for taking time to respond. she mentioned few time but actual problem is she don’t want to sit on the toilet. I tried all kind of potty seat n chair. My friends daughters showed her how they do it and even I did, to encourage her, Nothing seem to work so far. She is 2 now.
Hope she will come around soon.

You know your child best. She may not be ready yet. Everyone is different. Put her toliet out where she plays so she can sit on it whenever and get familiar with it. Take her with you to the bathroom when you go throughout the day and tell her all the steps as you go so she becomes familiar with all the steps. It will all go faster if you wait for her to let you know when shes ready rather than force her. Be patient it will happen. Watch for signs of being ready. You can look them up online. Once she’s ready she will pick it up fast.

For anyone saying you don’t need pullups that is really dependent on the child. I never planned on using them and thought I could just go for the 3 day method but my 3 year old has high functioning autism and potty training has been long and hard. It began with being scared of anything to do with it to being pee trained but still scared to poop in a toilet. Pullups are just a better option than keeping him in a diaper. He has been able to learn how to pull them up and down unlike a diaper and he’s too big for 6s because he’s too big (but not ready for underwear yet). I have personally tried many brands and ended up liking huggies the best. They come off the easiest when there is an accident and are the easiest for the child. Nighttime training is going to be a whole other hurdle so I do buy the nighttime ones so he doesn’t pee through at night. Print coupons and then go during the target deal. Sometimes there’s walgreens rewards deals like there was a few weeks ago. Good luck!

Sams club has good deals on pull ups and underjams. Gerber makes soft thick cotton training underpants, which are very stretchy and fit forever. They were my kids favorite over hanna andersson brand.
