As a kindergarten teacher, I can tell you, we can never get enough glue sticks.
Thanks for sharing Jan! Good to know!
That’s great to hear Jan! I plan on donating the 30+ glue stick 2pks to my son’s kindergarten class I got for pretty much free a few weeks ago.
My coupon beeped at the register at Target, just be prepared. She wasn’t going to take it, I just told her to adjust down to .99 cents. She did.
ty. I won’t even try this, my Target never accepts them when they beep. the employees are like robots and don’t even take a look at the coupon to even try to put it through, they just say no.
Thanks for the heads up! Glad you could grab the savings!
Must be regional. I didn’t have one and we can always use these at work. Booo! Gonna check smartsource.com 🙂
My target said no to this
Bummer! Were you able to speak with customer service?
Yes the person at the store and she said no 🙁
My store said no also. That it had to be liquid elmers 4ct. Which doesn’t make sense.
Lol tell them they can’t go by the picture and that they don’t even make a 4ct or higher liquid pack unless they sell at BJs Costco or somewhere. Says one the coupon any elmers product specifying size.
That’s a shame. As a front end manager at Target, I would have honored this at my store in a heart beat.
ot- does anyone have an american girl 20% off code they want to trade for an amazon gc? email mce1934 gmail
thanks
Sent you an email
Rather than fight Target, I am going to the my coupons to my local grocery store and pick these up. Their registers go up to the amount of the sale price, 99cents. No fuss there and I will pass them on to my nephew’s for their school supplies.
Yep, same here. I’ve tried some stores I’ve never shopped cause I loved target and I’m glad. I actually save more money now!
My Target would not accept these. The coupon beeped. #Bummer
Darn! Were you able to ask customer service for help?
I did and they made a (1) time exception for (1) pack as far as accepting it “this one time but in the future….”. She also pointed out that the coupon states (1) coupon per purchase per visit. Ultimately it is just not worth the hassle.
Wish employees knew their systems better. It accepts one then says no item found for the rest. It has to do with them needing to mark down the coupon to .99. Had a young girl who didn’t know, I told her what needed to be done. She said it says 1 coupon per purchase… I nicely explained to her that each item in a transaction is a purchase… I told her it just means one coupon per item. Then I told her if she sees a coupon that says one per transaction…. that means she can only take one.
I’m going to use it on that expensive glitter glue for the slime. Nice to save a buck 👏🏻
My Target didn’t accept the coupon either. I even went to Customer Service. It was the store in Florence, KY
I got 30 sticks at Amazon for $6.30 after the 20% coupon. It’s not free, but a great price! I need 24 for my daughter’s kindergarten list so this saves me time and money.
R u supplying for the whole kindergarten? 24 sounds high but I haven’t even checked my kids supply list because when we meet the teachers they usually have an entirely different list. I do get a kick out of some of the requested items … It sort of feels like a scavenger hunt thru Walmart so I try to make s game of it with my kids…gotta love bts!
As a kindergarten teacher, I can say that I appreciate all glue stick donations! I used over 200 glue sticks last year, and I had 24 students in my class. A teacher asking for 8 to 10 sticks per student sounds just right 🙂 It’s always better to have too many, than run out in the middle of a project 🙂
Thanks for the feedback Amanda! Good to know!
I purchased the glue sticks and a 8oz elmers glue bottle since they were both on my daughters supply list. The glue sticks were .99cents and the bottle was 1.49. I figured it wouldn’t be an issue since it was bound to come off of either one. Like everyone else my coupon beeped at the register and the cashier wasn’t all to happy to deal with it. This along with the extreme amount of headache they gave me when I tried to reedem the $75 diaper promo and coupons just makes really dislike couponing at target even more. It used to be one of my favorite stores, but recently the savings aren’t worth the trouble or embarrassment.
Tried to get the glue sticks today and it beeped. She wouldn’t accept it. Bummed.
Same here on the beeping. I wonder if it was a different upc code since it was a bonus pack 4 + 1 and it’s not programmed to take on the coupon.
Same here, she said they are no longer able to manually input manf. coupons and that she could not adjust it down or take it…
I was able to get 5 packs for free, manager input it as 1 item at a cost of 4.95 then just removed 4.95 from my transaction as a “store coupon.” I attempted to buy 3 more but was unsuccessful. I visited another target and they were sold out of the 5 pack glue sticks! I am going to guess that store was allowing the coupons to go through with no problem.
I went on another Target run today and only grabbed 1 pack, the coupon did beep however the cashier said she didn’t care and pushed it through.
I wonder if I just wait until the sale is over if I can then use the coupon and get 5 sticks for 0.49. Still seems like a good deal to me !
My Target also wouldn’t allow it. Said it had to be one of the items pictured and that the computer knew what items to accept the coupon on. LOL This was after a frustrating visit to the pharmacy where after multiple attempts (and visits) on my and my doctor’s office to get the correct epi-pens in, they still didn’t have the order correct. Loved the Target pharmacy, do not like the CVS/Target pharmacy. Used to love Target, but it seems like it’s changing too. 🙁
My target in Springfield pa, wouldn’t take the $1 coupon for the .99 cent item. Frustrating!
