Hey, I just thought I would chime in and say my husband and I love our Dyson. We recently just purchased a new one after our last one needed to be replaced after 4yrs. That being said we spoke to a rep at Dyson and were told the only difference between the multi floor Dyson and the Animal Dyson were the accessories that came with them. Also to note is that the new Kinetic Ball has less air watts than the regular Dyson. Which was a shock to us because we were planning on shelling out the $800 dollars on the new Kinetic ball. We ended up getting the Multi floor and it has been just perfect. It glides on the ground like butter. The suction is amazing and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Is this one of the best prices I would find on a dyson? I was thinking of replacing my vacuum this year and I have a Best Buy certificate and I think I have a gift card at home.
Yes! Unless you buy a refurbished one. But refurbished ones run you around this price also. Buy new and you get the 5 year warranty, refurbished only 6 months.

I found a barely used Animal for $120 off of Craigslist..AND LOVE IT. This yellow one was way too small for our family- it kept getting clogged and then the motor burned up after 3 yrs.
Based on your experience do you think this Dyson model would work well for my family which consists of a 4 year old and a bulldog (not allowed on furniture and hair is short and fine). We have a lot of wood/marble downstairs and we have thicker shaggy carpet upstairs.
When you say it got clogged is that because you have a ton of dog or cat hair? I don’t forsee bulldog hair clogging anything.
