PlanetBox: Rare 15% Off Lunchboxes
Through August 17th, PlanetBox.com is offering 15% off ALL of their Lunchboxes when you use promo code Box15 at checkout! Note that this code only applies to the lunchboxes and is not valid on additional items or accessories.
Planetbox makes reusable stainless steel lunchboxes that are dishwasher safe and warrantied for 5 years! According to my sister (who loves these lunchboxes!), they make packing lunches really easy as they have several individual compartments to keep foods separated so there is no need to use any sort of plastic baggies. It is so simple to pack a healthy lunch with fruit, veggies, sandwiches, cheese and more!
The lunch boxes come with a free magnet set to design them to fit your personality, and holds between 3.5 – 7 cups of food.
Note that shipping costs vary depending on what you are ordering or you can get free shipping on any order of $100 or more.
The best lunch boxes!
Great to hear how nice they are Kathryn! Thanks for sharing!
OMG, I’m reading the reviews on Amazon…consensus seems to be everyone loves them and also can’t believe they paid that much for them. Hmmm, so tempting…also crazy easy to spend $100+…two sets gets you there.
You will probably save money in the end. They last forever!
I’ve heard great things about them, but I just can’t get over the cost. My daughter is on year 3 with a lunch box we got at Costco for $10. Then again, I keep looking at them…
Another option is Yumbox. They are similar in design (except not stainless) and they are around 20 each. They are also leakproof (so you can put yogurt or dip in one section and it will not leak into other sections)
We are headed into year 3 on a Yumbox and it’s wonderful.
Worth every penny! Going on year five with my twins’ rovers.
That’s awesome! Good to know how well they have held up!
Won’t the snacks/lunch spill over or get mixed up when you carry these boxes?
Mine never do
I bough the rover over the summer for my daughter to use for kindergarten. She’s been using it for the past week and a half and really likes it. I also got her a lunch bag, an ice pack and a few cute magnets.
Oh cool! Thanks for the feedback Julie!
ugh. They seem amazing, but will my kid lose it at school??? 🙂
lolololol, I was thinking the same thing! Will this come back home every day?!?!?!?
Does food stay cold in it? I don’t see a space for an ice pack…does anyone have experience with that?
These were on the news today but i dont think i can fork out 200 just for lunchboxes since i have 4 kids that take lunch daily
Gosh these are so common and much cheaper in Asian/Indian markets, where everyone pretty much has always used stainless steel lunch boxes. They’re over priced, personally I can’t justify paying so much for a stainless steel lunch box.
Thanks so much for your honest review Nina!
We have had ours for four years- dropping backpacks, play dates at park, right in the dishwasher, they don’t hold odor or stains. I just bought one for our fifth baby. Well worth every cent- and I’m super cheap. There is a compartment on the bag where you put an ice pack.
Awesome to hear how well they have held up for your family! Thanks for your helpful feedback!
Meaning the planetbox ones are way over priced.
I agree #PlanetboxAreTooExpensive! I need a better deal Mamas!
I just gave our planet boxes to my neighbor. The plantet boxes are not good to hold dips, yogurts, apple sauces etc. I much prefer our Bentgo kids or the Yumbox’s which are 100% leakproof.
Darn! Sorry to hear these leaked. Thanks so much for sharing your experience Sheila!
Sheila, me too! I hated theses ones and recommend the bentgo all the time.
Gosh, my son lost or threw away quite a few insulated lunch packs over the years, but I wasn’t too angry as I think I got them on sale for $4-8, but THIS I’d be mad if he lost or threw away. I wouldn’t get it for him because chances are he WOULD lose it or throw it away! But I like it for myself!
Yep! I’m with you on that. I’ve eyed them for a long time, but never pulled the trigger. My son managed to lose 3 lunch boxes in one year, so I can’t justify the expense. I’m in love with the ziplock brand divided rectangle containers. I use silicon cupcake liners to further divide items or add yogurt/applesauces and they fit perfectly. They are $3.50 or so for two and they don’t leak at all. I hand wash them and they have lasted me over a year (when my kids don’t lose them!)
