I don’t understand the math here. If Staples matches the $1 price and then takes off another 10%, then the cost of the Sharpies is $0.90. How does that cost become $0.55?
I was wondering same thing. I went and bought them and they were .70, I couldn’t figure that out either.
The additional 10% is of the difference in price so for the sharpie markers the difference in price is $5.49 – $1 = $4.49. So 10% of $4.49 is 45 cents. So $1 minus 45 cents = 55 cents. I hope that make sense
My staples does it exactly as the first commenter states. They match the price and take off 10% so 90cents is what they charge.
I did this in NY. They just matched the $1. No extra discount.
Can you price match and use a staples coupon? I have a $10 off $10 purchase coupon mailer and has to be used by 9/9.
