They are different than your normal rewards. Your bonus rewards certificate will be available in your online account within 5 weeks. You can also access your rewards certificates on your smartphone after creating an online account.
Reward certificates can be redeemed at any Office Depot or OfficeMax store, online or by phone at 1.800.463.3768. For online purchases, your unexpired certificates are available at checkout.
Hey can you use these to price match at Staples?
TIA
Yes and they take 10% more off the price! 🙂
Does Staples have a Price Match Guarantee?
Yes we do. If you find a currently available lower price on a new, identical item with a valid competitor, show us the lower price when you buy the item with Staples and we will match it, plus we will discount it by 10% of the difference.
We will price match items sold by retailers operating both retail stores and online under the same brand, or sold and shipped directly by Amazon.com.
If you buy an item from Staples and within 14 days you find it at a currently available lower price at Staples, staples.com or a valid competitor, show us the lower price and we will refund the difference.
FYI bonus rewards post next day now not 5 weeks. Changed with the program change at the beginning of July.
Are you sure? I hope so but the website says:
Office Depot® OfficeMax® Rewards Everything: Rewards are earned on the price paid for an item or service before tax and after deducting all discounts, the value of free gifts and the value of any rewards and/or merchandise certificates/cards applied to that purchase. No rewards are earned on delivery fees. Rewards are paid out quarterly online only as a rewards certificate for the full value of rewards earned. Rewards certificates are redeemable for future purchases at Office Depot and OfficeMax stores, officedepot.com, or by phone at 800-GO-DEPOT. Limit 1 account per household/business. Visit officedepot.com/rewards or call 1-866-562-3872 for Terms and Conditions.
I went to OM/D today and cashier said the register wouldn’t accept my Sharpie manufacturers coupon (75 cents on 3 Ct or higher) the coupon says “not good with any other offer” and since the package of 5 markers is already on sale for $1, that is considered an offer. Huh??
Does anyone know if this is a new company policy? In the past the cashiers have just adjusted the cost of the item if a coupon didn’t scan, and other times the coupons scanned without issue.
Coupons are always price overwritten. The register don’t recognize manufacturer coupons and company policy is to override the item price by the coupon amount. Which is why there’s so much ymmv in coupon acceptance because it’s put on the cashier to interpret the coupon terms.
As an employee I’m positive. Also can redeem right at the register now without printing out.
Same thing happened to me last week. Markers were on sale for $5 and I was told I couldn’t use the $2 coupon I had bc I couldn’t combine offers.Makes no sense
Are the 1 cent deals done for the “year”?
Do you have to have a $5 minimum to buy the sale items?
Thanks
1 cent deals are over.
batteries make great contributions in hurricane areas that are without power. If you are in Texas and don’t want them for yourself, consider purchasing them for donating. You can use the rewards to buy something you will use.
How do the per household limits work? Does it reset at the end of a sale week, so if they do the same sale again later (or similar) you can buy more? Specifically the colored paper, I’d love to get more.
And, does it work as well if you use rewards to pay for it, or do you have to pay otherwise for it to work?
Thanks!
Resets weekly. Can’t earn rewards when paying with rewards.
Thanks. 🙂 I’m new to the Office Depot rewards thing.
Yes you can. I’ve done it all last week
Maybe its in certain regions because some people are able to roll rewards and others cant. Are you rolling them onto the same item with the same reward amount or onto a different item with a different reward amount?
I have almost $15 in Rewards. Can I use the $15 Rewards to purchase the Batteries that give almost the same Rewards amount?
No. You will not earn rewards on purchases paid with your rewards.
Part of the new program is you can use rewards and still earn rewards. It’s awesome! I’ve been using the same $5ish dollars all summer, every week to get the deals!
Yes. I have been rolling the battery deal all summer long.
Did you roll it more than once in the same week? Or do we have to wait until the next week in order for it to work? Thanks!
Did you roll them online or in store?
Will come tomorrow and pick up a few things. Thanks
You’re so welcome!
Seems like the penny deals were only 2 weeks in a row. That and the first week but required the coupon to get it at the price. Either way Im glad they still offered the composition notebooks at penny deals thats what notammly teachers ask for.
The clerk at my Office Depot told me they are no longer accepting manufacturer coupons.
Not true.
The manager at my Office Depot is a jerk. The employees always put through my coupons and then he comes over and messes with my order, taking things out of my bag and says that he won’t sell me an item if it’s on sale and the manufacture coupon I have brings the price of the item down to $0.00. Honestly, I cannot stand him. My daughter’s boyfriend is a middle school teacher and his sister is an art teacher. I buy a ton of school supplies and they share them with other teachers. And it’s not like my family doesn’t spend money at OD, my husband spends over $2,000 a year in the copy place (his company pays for it but it’s still money OD is making).
Office Depot/Max did change the way they take a manufacturer coupon, I did contact them this last week because the only way for them to take a coupon for the sharpie 4 pack on sale last week for $1.00 was to adjust the sale price to regular price. The value of the coupon was $.75. So I contacted costumer service, and this is what they told me: An item that is on sale is consider to have a digital coupon and their policy is that they can not take two coupons for one item. To is stupid because they are getting their money back from the manufacturer is not like they are losing money. Anyway, good luck!
Same here Izzy. Two stores told me same thing, no go.
$5 sharpies and then $1 pens oh well
I purchased the bic pens today and the cashier wouldnt let me use the $1 off. She said because of the value n they cant accept the coupon.
I took my ad and all of my coupons 2 days ago to Staples. They happily price matched then took my manufacture coupons. The cashier was more than happy to it. I explained to him I was buying supplies for my son in law and also, my son in law’s sister, who it an art teacher. The cashier also said he thought it was great that I was helping 2 teachers. So from now on, I am going to Staples.
