Quality has gone down hill!! Washed them an a pair at the seams was torn ! Contacted the company got no response ! Not worth the money ! Better off getting Hanes at Walmart better price better quality !!

I agree, the quality has gone way downhill in the past 5 years or so. I usually only get 3 washes and wears out of each pair before they start fraying at the seams or the elastic starts to let go. Mine from 3 years ago look better than the ones that are only 6 months old. I actually ordered undies from Amazon, Amazon Essentials-brand ones, and they have held up MUCH better than my VS ones. And they are significantly less expensive ( they are 6 pairs for $12).

Unfortunately I agree with you two on quality! I bought several pair when the secret reward cards were out, I’m glad I didn’t pay much for them! The seams ripped after a few washes, had two pair entirely rip the waistband off on the first wear. My favorite is Aerie, the quality is there, worth the price for me! And so comfy.
I worked at Victoria’s Secret in 1999 back when the image that the brand was going for was luxurious pampering with an air of elegance. This was before the PINK brand existed. There were 2 semi-annual sales every year, where merchandise got marked down drastically. Otherwise, merchandise went on sale occasionally, and you could typically save $5-$7.50 on an item. The typical customer was a woman in her 30s, 40s, or 50s who could afford to buy a gorgeous $42 bra and $18 matching undies without blinking twice. The cotton panties were 5 for $25. So many customers raved about them and said “they’re so comfortable!”
Now the image the store is going for is sexy, sexy, sexy, to the point of vulgarity. At any given time, there is a crazy sale or deal available on almost all merchandise, which is now of poor quality. It also appeals to a younger crowd, as young as tweens. Being sexy should be the furthest thing from a teen’s mind.
I agree on the quality. I so miss the old Body by Victoria stretchy bikini & briefs lines they are perfect and mine are 10yrs old and I have yet to find a suitable replacement. All my new pairs have not made it through 5+ washings:(.

I completely agree! I used to shop there in my mid 20’s into my 30’s and the quality was amazing. I had panties from there that lasted years and years but in the last 10 years they have gone way downhill. I do think they are catering to the teens because they have more time to shop and have more money than ever!
I was shocked by the pictures they had up in the dressing rooms. I have 2 boys whom I would definitely not take wtih me into VS, but even if I had girls, I would not be comfortable taking them into the store looking at the images they around
spot on, errrr. You’re so right. I miss the old 5 for 25 and the quality. I don’t even like the style anymore. Its all so blaaaah. Trying to be sexy (yes to the point of vulgarity in their advertisements) but totally missing the mark. There isn’t anything sexy about cheap boring overpriced underwear.
Quality has gone down significantly. I used to love their lace panties but they fall apart after only 1 wash.

I believe these are made in China? Poor quality and cheap fabric, but charging regularly up to $20 something dollars for 1 pair! The company should really get the hint by looking at their significantly dropping numbers. Poor quality will run even the most loyal customers away
Their quality is just terrible. I washed a brand new pair of panties and the crotch just ripped right out! I was so mad. Also, i have gently tried to pull up multiple pairs of lace edge panties only to have my fingers go right through the lace or the lace just splits!

I am 34 and I feel that Victoria’s Secret is not geared towards my needs as a wife and mother. I see a lot of teenagers/young adults in the store vs women my age. I tried out panties from Soma when Hip2Save advertised a deal around 9 months ago and I haven’t turned back. I feel like the comfort and quality is wayyyy better than VS, plus I still feel beautiful wearing them.

If you are looking for quality briefs, I suggest Natori Bliss Cotton Girl Brief (although it says girl, they are for women). Some colors are on sale at Nordstrom right now too.
They are the most comfortable pair of undies I’ve ever felt on my booty. I have 9 pairs!
Maybe it’s just me but honestly, I haven’t had any issues with my VS panties. Some of them I’ve had for a few years and they may have faded if they were all cotton prints. But most still look great 👍
Same here Heather, I buy a lot of different items from them including there full zip hoodies and so far so good but I do wash those items separately and on delicate. I hope mine don’t start doing that …
The quality has gone way down- it’s just not the same😞. Several new pairs I purchased looks ratty after I washed them.I took them back to store. They replaced them & apologized. I’m skeptical that they will last 🙄
Fabrics they are now using for their panties is rough and scratchy. Not worth the price, even on sale it’s still too expensive.
OK so where does everyone get their good quality somewhat sexy underwear if they don’t like VS? I want to buy some new stuff and would love suggestions please 🙂
Tiffany, you might want to check out Soma. I’ve tried their underwear and it is by far my favorite. I used to be a loyal VS shopper but I haven’t looked back since trying Soma.The “Enticing lace” undies are sexy and the most comfortable panties ever. The bras from the same line are fantastic too. Right now they are offering 7 for $37 panties which is an awesome price!!! Hope this helps.
Yup, quality has gone way down. I was very disappointed in a pair of cotton panties I bought there recently. Fabric felt very cheap. I wore it once and it’s at the bottom of my drawer now!

I only wear their raw hem hiphuggers. They’re the only truly no-panty-line panties I’ve ever found and they are so comfortable. Thanks for posting their sales!

I went to VS earlier today. Yes I agree quality has gone down. Hiphuggers w/lace were very comfortable but now seem to be more of a rough fabric & trim on top is not as high quality. Also the cotton bikini & hiphuggers fade after one wash. They never use to do that. I picked up some seamless hiphuggers which hold up well & my go to is always the VS pink boyshorts, so comfy which I wear to exercise in. VS employee said the PINK boyshortss always sell out first & didn’t understand why. Out of all the styles I think there the softest most comfy ones! There was a few newer styles like more of a swimsuit material. I only go to VS when there are good sales & w/coupons of course because the underwear doesn’t last as long as used to. I was able to score 9 undies for $20! Also I noticed this time there is high pressure sales from VS employees more than norm. Especially at checkout felt bad for customer in front me. They kept asking her why she didn’t buy this or that deal almost on edge of harassment.

Yes quality has gone down. I was thrilled when I purchased my very first VS bra and I made it sure that it fits on me pretty good. I was so happy so I wear it during our vacay. I didn’t noticed that elastic was maybe stretched on the bottom part and my bra didn’t stay and it kinda look like I have 4 boobies & my hubby noticed when we’re out shopping. Right, when we go back to the place where we stay I changed another bra that’s i bought on sale $1 in Walmart & it stay and comfortable.
