For those that don’t know 93% of soybeans grown in the US are GMO (Genetically Modified Organism). Studies have shown it causes infertility in test animals. Death or slow growth among baby test animals. Please don’t feed this to your children. I wont even feed it to my chickens.
I second that!!
Yes!! Thank you for mentioning. If you can’t afford to go organic at least go non GMO!!
This product is organic therefore not GMO 😃
Out of curiosity… are you saying this company is lying when it advertises Non-GMO?
I see it does says it uses non-GMO soybeans. But be careful about soybeans. Most are GMO.
This GMO thing is such nonsense. You do realize that everything in nature is genetically modified, right? That’s what evolution is. Aztecs genetically modified the tomatillo to create the tomato. “Non GMO” is a marketing ploy playing off the fears of people who don’t understand the science. Obviously the methods used now allow it to be done more quickly and effectively than it had been done previously, but it has been done for thousands of years. Without it none of us would exist because the extreme majority of the human race would have starved to death ages ago. Without modern GMO methods most of the 7.5 billion people, including most people in our own country, would starve to death. And here’s what Popular Science says on the cancer myth: “One frequently cited study, published in 2012 by researchers from the University of Caen in France, claimed that one of Monsanto’s corn GMOs caused tumors in lab rats. But the study was widely discredited because of faulty test methods, and the journal retracted it in 2013. More recently, researchers from the University of Perugia in Italy published a review of 1,783 GMO safety tests; 770 examined the health impact on humans or animals. They found no evidence that the foods are dangerous.”
Genetically modified organisms are organisms that have had their DNA spliced with the DNA of other organisms. It is NOT like evolution.
Everything in nature NATURALLY evolves on it OWN.. Not in a lab where people are wearing gloves, suites , and masks.
Gloves, suits, and masks are not inherently evil. Do you refuse to take your children to the doctor? Without nutritional needs being partially met as a result of science the human race would still have an average lifespan of 40. Creating hybrid produce – and everything you eat is hybrid produce, everything we grow has been ‘domesticated’, not unlike farm animals and pets – involves naturally occurring DNA modification. The only difference is that in a controlled environment we can pick and choose which DNA is used – i.e. DNA that makes plants more productive to meet the needs of a world with 7.5B people, or DNA used to create seeds that yield more hearty produce so that people who live in cold climates have access to fruits and vegetables that otherwise would spoil long before they could be transported to them. This allows the human race to have a more diverse diet and thus live LONGER and be more healthy. I have a degree in biomedical engineering, and I realize that doesn’t make me as qualified as someone who read some clickbait blog online, but I do have a little bit of knowledge on whole DNA thing.
Thank you for your voice of reason David.
How about we just let people eat what they want to eat without preaching about organic, non-gmo, etc…
