I ordered 4 of these for Christmas presents and the only way I could get that price was to order them one at a time.

    • Gina Young

Can i use the 7 to check emails, print coupons, watch movies?

  2. McKel C Dean

I ordered two and got 50.00 off. So worked for me to order multiples.

  3. Britt

Call me behind the times but what do you do with these tablets? Just read?

    • Daniela

It has wifi, whatever you can do on a computer you can do on this. Watch Netflix, surf the web, post on twitter and Instagram, pay bills, Skype, etc. Oh yes and read kindle books.

      • pokz

        Yeah but 100x slower

        • Marie Parker

The fire8 is not slow, bought one last year and it’s still going strong. Its fast! I originally purchased to replace an older Kindle Fire that was kind of slow and glitchy!

  4. Jessi

Anyone have an opinion if these will come
Down any more than this during the Christmas season?!

    • Janette

I wouldn’t wait to find out… out plus I just got 5% cash back purchasing it through Ibotta

    • Ge

For two years now, I seen them on cyber Monday $30. Great tablet for watching videos and ready ebooks. otherwise facebooking, browsing isn’t so great.

  5. Nurse Heather 💉

Sweet, thanks. Got one to stash for my daughter for Christmas 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome!

  6. Sue

I’m new to this and still considering it. Anyone know the difference between Fire 7 vs Fire 8 HD (other than the fact that its HD)? Any reviews?

    • pokz

The higher the number the latest…

      • JaxJay😎

Actually, the higher the number the bigger the screen, 7 inch or 8 inch HD. They all run the latest fire OS. These are good for the price.

    • Kati

I have the 8, and we have many other fires. I say the extra $20 for a bigger tablet and twice the memory is well worth it. You can add an SD card to either to make your memory larger, but some things will not store on the SD card. My daughter gets frustrated with not being able to download Netflix movies for car rides due to get small internal memory.

      • Michigan Mommy

Yes, I agree. I own this and it’s out of memory. I have a lot of unused space on the card, but cannot transfer anything else over! It shows half the memory is “miscellaneous” which you cannot clear (to free more space).

        • Daniela

Android is a little bit of a hoarder when it comes to memory. It keeps a copy of everything you ever downloaded as cached data. You have to download a cleaner app and delete anything extra and that misc memory will go away. I use ES File Explorer app and run the program constantly and it finds big files or duplicate files and it helps me delete too. If after googling “clean up kindle fire memory” this seems complicated, you can also do a factory reset.

  7. Janette

Thank you this is a great deal as I also got 5% cash back with Ibotta!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! You’re very welcome Janette!

  8. Moni B.

Cool just ordered the Fire 8 HD! I’m tired of watching Hulu movies (from the $4.99 a month Spotify/Hulu student deal) on my smaller S7 phone…haha. In addition to the $25 off I also got $20 off using my $20 Dash Wand credit (gotta use it b4 it expires 6/1/18)! So $36.64 for the 8″ screen HD tablet. I also took advantage of the 5 monthly payments/no interest offer, why not? 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome!

    • Marie

Mine didn’t show the 5 monthly payment plan.

    • Deanna

How are you able to make payments???

  9. Stefanie

Does this apply to the kids’ version?

    • Moni B.

The drop down selections within each product’s description should say “with special offers”. I checked and no, the children’s versions are not included in this particular deal. However the children’s versions have their own special “Buy 2, Save $50” deal!

  10. Allison

Wonder why my Ibotta only shows 3% back at Amazon?

  11. Caroline

Can you download app to this? I just don’t know the difference between this and ipad. Thanks

    • Allison

Well Amazon has its own apps you can download straight to Kindle. But there is also a way to sideload access to the Google Play store that I THINK still works. you can’t get to apple store if there’s a unique proprietary app you want to get.

    • Momof2

My rebate for ibotta was 3% as well. At least it’s something.

    • Sarah

I think this is Android so anything from android is good to download.

  12. Amy

Do these have the pop up ads? They did that on prime day and you have to pay $20 more to shut them off??
    Thanks

    • Stefanie

Any with “special offers” have ads, I believe. That’s what it means and why it’s less expensive to buy those versions 🙂

    • Heather

The ads are only on the lock screen. When you swipe to open, they go away. Not a big deal, and sometimes there is a good deal that I’ve appreciated being able to see.

  13. Amber

Anyone know if this is compatible with the WowWee MIP robot that was listed on here a couple months ago? I know you need to download an app to control the robot but didn’t know if I can download that specific app on this tablet! Thanks!

    • Kathy

My Grandaughters use theirs with the WowWee robot.

  14. Liz

Thank you! I bought two for upcoming birthdays. 😄

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You are welcome Liz! Glad you could get them!

  15. Nina

QVC has the Echo on a today’s special value today for $79 with 5 monthly payments available. Sounds like a great deal!

  16. Stephanie

Amazon had a code to get an additional $20 for paying with my amx points!! 16.04 total for the 7!!! 💁🏼

    • Rose

Thank u for the tip i got 20 off too 🙂

      • Steph

I have a delta Amex- can I get this deal?

    • Tina

I have Amex but don’t know how to use this deal?

    • Nicola

Check you Amex acct to see if you have this benefit. If so, you must pay with at least one membership rewards point and use code FIRE7TAB or FIRE8TAB.

      • Rita

Thanks for posting but offer did not work with my delta amex

  17. Mamashopper

Can any of u pls ,who used Amex let us know how u got 20$ off using Amex card

    • Deb

You might have this deal as a “benefit” which can be found by logging into your Amex account online.

      • Tina

        No luck there but thanks

    • DN

It only works if you have Amex card with MR points. When you check out select your Amex card and choose pay with points and apply at least 1 MR point to the order, also put in code FIRE7TAB in the discount code for the 7” tab or FIRE8TAB for the 8” tab. My order comes out to less than $27 including tax for the Fire 8 inch and $17 for the 7”. I believe you can do 5 items per order. I got 3 each and it works perfectly.

      • Heather

DN is right, I have my Amex linked to be able to pay with points. You have to use the Amex to pay for your purchase and then use at least one American Express Membership Reward Point as part of your payment. Then enter the discount code FIRE7TAB or FIRE8TAB and hit apply. I got an extra $30 discount with the FIRE8TAB promo code. I first logged onto my Amex account and tried to find the deal in my benefits and I could not find this offer listed but I figured it was worth a shot. Give it a try if you have your Amex linked to pay with points.

Does anyone know if you can sync two of these for movies? We want to use them in place of portable DVD players in the car.

    • Rebecca

      No you can’t.

    • Lo

If you h e Netflix, you can download movies to your kindle but you have to make sure to leave Netflix open in the background. Love this for traveling!!!

  19. Kelli

This tablet good for kids? You able to download games? YouTube kids?

    • Amy

I bought the kids version the year before last and it worked good enough for awhile. They are 5 & 7 and both want iPads this year. I was hoping these would have been good enough for awhile longer but no such luck. They get frustrated easy with the space issues and downloads. I even bought very large memory chips and it is still not enough space. I tried factory reset but still only able to have a few kid apps at a time. Not sure if there is something I’m doing wrong but it is not user friendly as iPads.

  20. Raquel

Picked up 2 of the newer tablets for Christmas presents, thank you! My girls will love them and I’ll finally be able to use my ipad again! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy you could grab them each their own! You’re most welcome! 😉

  21. Brandy

Honestly, we all love ours! My son was the first to get one a few years ago (when $99 was a GREAT price), then my daughter got one when she was old enough, then I bought one for my husband on a whim last year for Christmas (because $35 was an easy decision). Now, it’s my turn! We don’t have storage issues, buffering, slow browsing, etc. My kids have tons of games downloaded and watch movies on Prime or Netflix or our digital vault on road trips, waiting rooms, sick days, etc. I definitely think these are worth more than $35 for Amazon Underground alone (completely free games with free upgrades, etc. You absolutely do not have to spend a dime for your kids to get that much needed booster pack, wand, gem, etc. etc.) Just my two cents!

    • Lo

Never heard of Amazon underground. How do I find it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience Brandy! Super cool to hear how well they have worked for your family and that you can now score one for yourself! 🙂

  22. Trish

Does anyone know if you can sync apple AirPods up with these?

  23. KD

Just a thought…I think this would make a great gift for kids in need this holiday and/or current school season. I was going to get one for myself but don’t need it and instead will give to a “Toys for Tots” type organization. Too blessed to be stressed:) Kristy

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What a sweet idea! Thanks for sharing!

    • ej

KD, I love that idea, very thoughtful of you. I’d only suggest that you erase your account information from the device before u gift it. My device came with my account info on it but not sure if all of them do but best to check.

  24. Jenn

I ordered one for a Christmas gift. Thanks for sharing!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Jenn!

  25. Dee

Thank you! I bought one for my 5 year old and also got the free vitamins and snacks that were posted a few weeks ago.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome score Dee! You’re most welcome!

  26. Ggirl1976

Can i use the fire 7 or fire 8 for surfing my coupon sites and printing coupons? Do you think the memory would be enough? TIA

  27. Denise

I love my Kindle tablets. I wanted to order one of these b/c I usually have Amex points to use and wanted to get the extra $20 off the already reduced price but I don’t have any Amex points. I called Amex and they said I have 330 pending points and they won’t show up until September 20th!! So I will miss this great deal. So disappointed!

  28. Marcie Mullens

If you order it through the Ibotta app. you get an additional $1.50 back. Go to your Ibotta app. and go to Amazon and the fire tablet is on the bottom so scroll down. It atomatically takes you to Amazon.

  29. Florencio

Hey there, You’ve done an incredible job. I will certainly digg it and personally recommend to my friends. I am sure they will be benefited from this site.
