We are a Diono family and all 3 of our boys have/had them! We fit 3 across in a Honda Accord with no problem!
One thing I love about the Diono we have is the recline. It’s just enough that my girls can fall asleep and their heads don’t fall forward and get all wonky looking if you know what I mean which helps them sleep much longer and more comfortably.
We bought the Diono when my daughter was 1.5 yrs old and she just turned 3 yesterday. We spent 2 months researching for one that allows her to be rear facing as long as possible and with good safety ratings. We finally chose this and our daughter loves it. We like that it will grow with her since it converts to booster seat when she gets older so no more buying car seats for her. Even though she is 3, she is still rear facing and probably will be rear facing for a good while.
Does anyone know if you can do layaway with car seats at Babies R Us/Toys R Us? I need to buy two, but laying them away would help out a lot.

So glad I checked this. I ordered it with the 25% off coupon but price was $299 so for $225. Since I saw this I called before they closed just now and they price adjusted me and I will have $58 back on my card. If I noticed tomorrow it would have been past the 7 day price adjustment matching period.

I have this seat, it’s amazing! I’m still using it and my daughter is almost 5!
It is great! My 4.5 year old still uses hers- but she’s the size of a 6 year old so I’m gonna go ahead and snag one of their boosters for my husbands truck

My child will be 5 soon, I’ve read the reviews n most say it’s not too good as booster. Anyone has any problems with this?
My kids are still using theirs and are 6 turning 7. My eight year old (who is small-ish) can fit in it too. The only main problem you might have is if your child is large, the crotch buckle might seem too close to them.
It’s not good as a booster, because it has a 90lb weight MINIMUM to be able to use it as a booster.🙈 So no, I would for sure go with something else. If you’re 5 year old isn’t ready/mature enough for a belt positioning booster yet (most 5 year olds aren’t) then a good option could be a Britax Fountier or Pioneer that will let your girl be in a harness longer, and then transition to using it as a belt positioning booster when she’s ready.
Love our diono! We have Brita and Chicco, too. I dislike our Eddie Bauer.
