Tips for saving at Great Wolf Lodge Resorts…

Pay for a one night stay at Great Wolf Lodge, but play for two days! Arrive early on the day of arrival and play while you wait for check in time, then check out of your room the next morning, but play for the entire second day!

Pack snacks for play time and use the microwave and fridge in-room! Make sure you have snacks on hand during the day, so you won’t be tempted to run to the vending machine! And consider eating one of your meals in your hotel room with food you bring from home. Room accommodations include a microwave and fridge so you can throw together an inexpensive meal!

Actually, I have found the cheapest way for our family and location is on their website. Book 60 days in advance for 50% off.

    • MomofTwins

Same. We go twice a year. If you are a repeat guest booking via their bounce back offer on the phone is the cheapest, and they don’t require a deposit.

      • Candra Potts

Oh wow. I had no idea.
We take the kids a few times a year to the location in Charlotte.
I think I’ll call today to see if they are offering the bounceback deal right now
        Thanks for sharing that info

    • carol

Thank you so much for that information. I’ve always wanted to take my family but just couldn’t justify the cost.

    • Carrie

Thank you! I will try that. We live so close to one but never tried it.

Great tip thanks. We just went to wilderness in Wisconsin Dells and I was amazing. Four indoor and 4 outdoor parks. It’s a resort and you never have to Leave. The kiddies have been asking to go back. This could be a much cheaper weekend getaway

The advantage to buying the groupon over buying the discounted rates directly from Great Wolf Lodge is that you can put the maximum in a room without paying the additional fee. As a family of 5, that saves us a bundle.

    • Erica

Same here! We are a family of 6 so the Groupon deals are always a better deal than anything I can find on their website. When you add on the additional 2 kids the price really goes up!

    • heather

Thank you for this-i always never buy the groupon because people say it’s cheaper on their website-yet when I use their special deals they send me, as soon as i put in our 6 person family the fee is close to s400. I think I’ll buy this groupon!

      • heather

I guess i shouldn’t say fee, i should say “price”

    • Pon

If you purchase from Groupon, then how many wristbands you will get? Would that be the max number of persons per room?

      • bcortez86

        You get 6.

Remember you can go to the water park as early 10am the day you check in and stay the entire next day. So 2 full days at the water park make the cost easier to justify.

    • HoneyNYC

I LOVE this tip! I would never have thought of arriving early. I’m just starting to do my research. Thanks!

    • Amy

Be careful-for the location closest to me, you can’t get your wristbands until 1:00, not 10:00.

Additional $56 in taxes and fees on a $119 room at the Mason, Ohio location.

Loved this experience! We visited the one in So Ca

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip! Thanks for sharing!

How come the SALE3 code is not working? I’m trying to get the best deal…but it’s saying code is invalid🙁 Thank you

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! Looks like the code has expired 🙁 Thanks for the heads up!

We went in the summer, and it is expensive, hotel fees so one weekday would cost 270

  8. Kay

I took advantage of the deal posted weeks ago ($119 a night). That was the Groupon rate for a 1-night stay in the NC location. If this deal is better, may I cancel the other one? Or get the price difference refunded?

Taking my kids in December. Paid over 700 for 2 nights. Can anyone tell us about how much the “extras” the kids are? You know, the games and magiquest, etc?

    • Carey

We just visited the location in Washington state and the magic quest game is 14.99 to play and the wands range from 15.99-22.99. They do have package deals if you check with them at the front desk when you check in. They have package deals for food too. We ended up buying a package that had one adult breakfast buffet, one kids breakfast buffet, 4 cupcakes, 2 refillable drink cups, 4 entrees in the water park, and 1 large 2 topping pizza for 80.00. That saved us a ton.

I was looking into the one in grapevine, Texas. Has anyone been to this one during the off season? Any advise or tips?

  11. Macie

The sale3 code isn’t working today.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! It appears to be expired now.
