Hoping the price keeps dropping! Then I can justify buying it. 🙂

  2. Mandy

Good deal 🙂 Walmart had them for $79 yesterday

  3. Michele

This is a good deal. Will there be an even better deal on Black Friday?

  4. mary

on the fence – buy one – I got mine at kohls with loads of discounts – it really is amazing my husband calls it the perfect pot!

  5. Jessie

Thanks! This is the same one I picked up on Black Friday last year for only $1 more. I’ve been wanting to grab another for a Christmas gift, so this was perfect. Checking off the list!

    • sarahill

@Jessie how did you manage to find it for $1?

      • Jodi

I think she meant she paid $70.99 for it; one dollar more than this offer.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome Jessie!

I have been on the fence about this. I have a crock pot and use it all the time. Do I really need an Instant Pot? Who could I make in it? Is it worth the space it takes up because I do not have a lot of space in my kitchen as it is. How do you use it?

    • Kristi

I use mine daily. We do homemade yogurt, beans you can do them in about 30 minutes without soaking first. Any kind of soup. Most kinds of meat even frozen. We did a lot of spagghetti squash out of the garden to freeze way faster then the oven would. My kids love homemade mac and cheese and sweet corn from it! Options are endless. My oven broke a few days ago so i even did bread in it yesterday. Kids said it was the best bread ever! There are a lot of recipies online, on pintrest and some great recipe books. I love mine, but I am not a big planner so I like the option of still making something healthy when I dont have a ton of time.

I just finally got one a week ago- have made ribs and a pot roast in it- both turned out great!! And in under 45 min each – I would say it was worth it alone for those two things as good as they turned out

        • Niki R

I love my instant pot too!! Everything I’ve made has turned out great. I say if you use your slow cooker frequently you would use this too. Cooks as well as a slow cooker in a fraction of the time. Now I’m just trying to work up the nerve to make a cheesecake in it. I bought all the ingredients for it but I’ve never made a cheesecake so I’m scared I’ll mess it up. Although from what I’ve read it’s easy to make in the instant pot.

I made teriyaki chicken over the weekend using frozen chicken breasts, all for 10 minutes! (Not including heating time) 8 minutes for the chicken then quick release then added frozen veggies for 2 minutes. Yummy!

There is even a group on Facebook dedicated to the IP. Lots of recipes from all over the world and helpful tips.

Debating on this. I want one but not sure I need one. I do love my crock pot. Those that have one 1) is this a great price? 2) do you love yours? TKS

  8. Mrs Bee

Ok, I’m buying one to donate to a silent auction. Are there any “must have’s” that I should include with it?

    • patricia

When I decided to get a 8 qt IP, I ordered the sealing rings after reading the reviews. So you can use one for the sweets and the other for savory. The sealing rings tend to hold on to the ofor but it does not bother me and I don’t think it effects the flavor of the food.

      • Mrs Bee

        Awesome, thank you!!

    • PDX To OGG Mama

Yes, I agree with purchasing 2 additional sealing rings (different color for savory & sweet). I also purchased a round cake pan with pop out bottom (Fat Daddio’s Anodized Aluminum Round Cheesecake Pan with Removable Bottom, 7 Inch x 3 Inch) to make cheesecakes or lasagnas.

      • Mrs Bee

        Thank you so much!!

Wondering if the prices will drop for Black Friday too.

  10. Mumm

Thanks gang…. We bought ours a couple of weeks ago and love it.. We decided to buy one each for our kids.

  11. Jamie

So glad you posted this! Mine is out for delivery. It’s been on my Amazon to-buy list for a while and this is the best price I’ve seen.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Perfect! 🙂

  12. Kathy

I have read a lot about the IP. Does this one make cheesecake? Would I need to purchase extra pans?
    Thanks in advance.

  13. Nina

Yes I got this too this year when it was this price and I’ve used it a handful of times but to be frank it intimidates me! Not sure how to use it but will learn slowly, as it seems there are way too many ways to use it! Thanks for all the tips!

My home was in the flood after Harvey so I am seriously eyeing this replacement. However, I had the 8 qt and really don’t think I could get a 6 qt! It’s just not enough for my big family. I will wait until the larger one goes on sale.

  15. Allison Mills

Does anyone ever see a good deal on the 8 quart? I think I need bigger than the 6 & I never see any sales on them.

    • Lauren

I didn’t get the 8qt just the 6qt at Kohls last week when the 30% off sale was going on- but actually waited til the last day when the 40% coupon
Comes out- if you don’t get one you can buy one ok eBay for $2-3- I got this one for $66 plus $10 kohls cash

  16. tmoore2

When I went to Amazon and put this in my cart it said that they only have used ines for $80. How can I get the $69.99 new one from Amazon that is in your email?

    • Elle

I think it sold out. I saw this and was going to buy it once I could get on a real computer instead of my phone. Now I tried and it seems to be gone. Oh well, I won’t delay next time!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! It appears to be sold out now 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great find! Thanks for the heads up!
