On the fence? Check out what my sidekick Mary has to say…
We recently purchased a Ring Video Doorbell Pro since our neighborhood has had a few missing packages and break-ins over the past few months and I have to say it is really cool!
We actually installed it this past Saturday and ended up catching my daughter having friends over without asking us after we had just left the house when she was supposed to be doing chores (so she could go out later). I called her right after I saw her friends came over while we were out and asked her what she was doing and she said “Oh I’m doing chores” and I was able to immediately call her on it. Pretty funny as she said her friends came over to help with chores. Oh my – gonna be a long summer! 😉
Anyways, it’s pretty cool as it’s easy to install and you can make it as sensitive as you want it to so it can detect all motion or you can just have it notify you strictly when people ring the doorbell.
We’ve had ours for a month and have been suggesting to others to get one.. Our youngest has the app on her phone, we can connect via the app when any of us enter our home.
How cool! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
We installed Ring at our last home– When we moved one of the first things we did was purchase another Ring to immediately install. I love it! It gives me piece of mind without a large contract. (I pay for the devices and $30/year for storage I believe.) It actually alerted me when an uninvited Real Estate agent was trying to get into our house & then I was able to use the video captured to turn into my agent and get to the bottom of it. I honestly recommend it to everybody!
Probably being overly paranoid, but since it goes through wi-fi, what’s the likelihood that this could get hacked into? I know that there have been cases with baby monitors having this happen. I really want a video security, but many of them link through wi-fi, so I’m not sure.
