Target Hiring Event: Apply for Seasonal Jobs In-Store (October 13th-15th)
Are you at Target more than their employees?🙋🏼
Today through Sunday, October 15th, ALL Target stores are holding in-store hiring events from 10AM-6PM daily where you can learn about available seasonal positions and meet team members. There may be opportunities to interview on the spot, so be sure to come prepared to introduce yourself!
Target is planning to hire over 100,000 seasonal team members across 1,816 stores across the U.S. AND 4,500 team members for their distribution and fulfillment facilities.
As a benefit of working at Target, team members receive two discounts: a 10% merchandise discount in-store and on Target.com, plus an additional 20% wellness discount on fruits and veggies, Simply Balanced brand foods and C9 athletic gear. And, seasonal members get paid $10 per hour!
Don’t have time to stop by the store? Go here to apply now.
$10 an hour? I live in Cali. Its $10.50 minimum going on $11 starting January 1st 2018.
It’s probably by market, but $10/hr is nearly $3 higher than the minimum here.
I live in Gardena , Ca and they pay 12 an hour
I live in Alabama and min wage is 7.65
I stopped shopping at Target. The last time I went there they had only 2 cashiers and 8 self checkouts. NOPE!
I agree! I have spent way less time (and money) at Target because of the self checkout / cashier shortage.
Actually seasonally and regularly in Utah, storewide everybody now starts at 11$ an hour
Target just raised it’s base pay for all Team Members to $11/hr. All Team Members that were below $11/hr are being raised to $11 and all seasonal employees are starting at $11. By 2020 Target has announced that it’s minimum (base) wage will be $15/hr for ALL employees. Now employees that live in a city or state with a higher minimum wage, they will receive the higher wage.
Target treats their employees like absolute crap. My eldest son has worked there for the past 3 years after starting out as a seasonal hire. Being fed up with the bs, he recently took his skills to Kroger as Target was so poorly managed. He’s happily in a management roll now. Moral of the story, if you can put up with the nonsense at Target long enough, you can take those skills to further your career in retail, but don’t go into it blind as Target is super fun to shop at, but not so much on the other side of the cash register.
One persons bad experience does not represent the entire company. I worked for target for 10 years and I absolutely loved it. I’ve worked under several different mangers and in different locations and they all were fantastic.
I have to agree I’m sorry, but any large corporation is going to have good and bad. I work for a large communication company and I see the dysfunction but also have amazing co-workers and see great things happen. I see customer complaints and see success stories. Its hard to call out every employee in every store, in every state as all good or all bad. In life there’s good people, bad people, hard workers and slackers, and they live and work everywhere. I’ve had more successful Target runs than bad, but have had both. It’s going to happen no matter what company or store you go to. That’s just life.
I work for target and sometimes I can’t even take my 15 minute breaks because they rather get things done on time. Sometimes I do feel like they treat us horrible for that.
I stopped shopping with Target checkout is too big of a hassle with coupons and Target cartwheel. The last trip (I should not have gone) I shopped 30 minutes to get some cleaning supply deals posted here. I got to the check out and a coupon wouldn’t scan properly – I waited politely and then some customer service person came and didn’t attempt to fix it but simply said we can not take a manufacturer coupon! She was so glib about it and it was so ridiculous I said no thank you and ask for my coupons back, left the items and walked out. I would add the customer service rep told me sarcastically to have a nice evening multiple times as I left. I went to make a complaint and that option is gone online – I am not going to call a 1-800. Won’t be going back. I can’t imagine working for Target or with a bunch of dingalings!
Like stated before the min. wage just went up to $11 wich means if you apply tomorrow you will start at $11 per hour. Keep in mind there are several areas besides registers you can apply, softlines hardlines, electronics, etc…they are open to consider all availabilities under your prefered schedule, just a matter of asking. Be prepare to be interview on spot if needed and even receive a job offer on spot as well. This is the second event they host this season.
Although I’m not currently looking for a job, I wanted to speak up for Target. The Target in my area is amazing. They do everything they can to keep the guest satisfied in regards to coupons, missed coupons, missed discounts, etc. If someday I need a part time job, I would consider working there. I worked at a different Target store in HS (17 years ago!) and I also had a great experience. just like ANYTHING in life, every one’s experiences and personal feelings are different. My experiences with Target as a guest and as an employee have been great, and I will continue shopping there.
I’ve noticed since I moved to LV, the Targets here take coupons at self checkout:) I scan them and then a team member comes to verify it. I don’t mind since back in Cali I wasn’t able to use them at all with self checkout. And the team members are all super nice and helpful! If a coupon from my cartwheel app doesn’t go through I tell customer service up front and they give me back the cash value of the coupon! It’s happened twice. And they apologize. They were also quick to check something that was out of stock for 2 weeks, it’s a certain flavor of kumbucha. They had 12 in back and apologized and said sometimes vendors have to stock certain things. Back in Cali they seemed a little more rude or bothered. Don’t get me wrong, I love SD❤️ and miss it so much!
My Target is nice. When I went in yesterday to pick up my Snugapuppy swing from a deal H2S posted, the lady at customer service asked if I was going to have a baby shower and I jokingly told her if she threw me one I’d show up; we both laughed. After she brought out the swing, she handed be a baby registry welcome bag and said a gift for the baby; it had coupons including $5 off pampers diaper and a Dr. Brown bottle (we love that brand used it with my other 2 kids). I thanked her as I know she didn’t have to do that. 🌺
I would like to know where i have to go tomorrow for the interview please let me kno.
Hi there! Be sure to head to your local Target! 🙂
