This is awesome! Thank you, H2S! My oldest son has a nice Ukulele and my youngest is always trying to grab it to play. At $3.50, it’s perfect for my almost 3yo so he has one too (that’s not $$$$).

These First Act brand instruments are garbage. They break and are basically unfixable. Good toys for maybe 3-5yr olds (yes, including the “real” band instruments), but once they break they’re done for. No licensed instrumental repair technician will fix them due to them being made out of inferior materials. Their insurance will not allow them to touch it because they’re a liability. Trying to fix them just breaks them more. Good if you want a disposable instrument, but don’t count on them to last or be good for an actual band/guitar class or lessons.
Thanks for the feedback. But at $3.50 (or even the regular price of $10), I don’t expect much as far as longevity and quality.
We have a decent drum set that is First Act.
I ordered one to give to my friend who isn’t sure she wants to play uke or not (she’s a bit jealous of mine). Hopefully it can at least plunk out a few chords before causing any issues and/or breaking. At $3.50, it’s not much of a gamble.
Why in the world would someone take a $10 toy instrument to an instrument repair person??? I’m pretty sure when you buy something with TMT on it, you realize it’s a toy.
