I say this every year, but I’m going to say it again. When my niece was 4 I bought her a clearance storage ottoman from TJ Maxx and filled it with halloween clearance costumes and accessories. It made a great dress up trunk and it was her favorite Christmas gift. I glued a mirror to the bottom of the lid and framed it with ribbon. She used that gift for years! I also have nieces that live far away and did the same for them, but instead of a storage ottoman, I used a collapsible fabric bin. It was easier to mail. I decorated the front of the bin with her name using iron on letters.
I did the same with a bunch of Gymboree clearance costumes 3 years back. They are still a hit with my daughter!

That is a great idea! I’ll have to consider that, but since I have 5 nieces I don’t have the budget for it this year. I loved playing dress up as a kid, my friend had a closet full of dress up clothes growing up.
Not just girls! I also bought clearance costumes for my son and he wore them often. So adorable.

Idk for a fact but I will give it 2 days and Check in on Friday. Hopefully it’ll be at least 70% then!
My stores never made it to 90% w summer clearance. They scrapped it they day it went to 70%, and most of it seemed to end up across the street at Five Below :/ A manager just said corporate had changed the markdown policy/schedule “slightly”. I guess we’ll see what happens over the next few holidays?!
It was a madhouse when I went to my target! But I was able to score some stuff and there were some non Halloween items that you usually find in the spot playground area that were marked down 50% off too. Items were like pencils, stationaries, erasers, children character coloring and more. I had to really control myself hahaha

Walmart now has 50% on costumes. Got my son Star Wars trooper costume with helmet half priced for next year! Paid $4+ and tax.

I’m thinking it will go to 70% by Thursday and 90% on Sunday. They usually have it all cleared out by Monday morning. But I did score some great Halloween toy packs for next year🎉

I was not a fan of the prices at my Target. They were 50% off, but after paying less than 5$ a costume at ToyRUs, Targets still seem a little too steep for me.
If I buy a costume today for say 50% will target honor price match if it gets to 70% or more.
No, they will not do price adjustments.
Just came back from my Target (Maryland) and they are still at 50%. We usually get 70% late, and NEVER see 90%. The Cat & Jack summer clothes were still 30-50% off!
I did get a fun adult unicorn wig because my boys are going to be “uniturtles” for Battle of the Books and I needed something to go with it! Wigs were $5-$10
I found halloween hefty bags on sale for $1.50. THey were in the halloween section and the hefty bag section. There is a 10% CW and a $1 off 2 coupon on the hefty website. Came out to $.84 per 30ct slider quart size box.
Michaels was at 80% off the day after Halloween for fall stuff too, that’s how you do it. Not sure why Walmart n others play this game with waiting to drop prices, trying to get every penny they can. Just drop the prices n get it over with lol.
