Does anyone own this? Just was wondering what you think of it!. Thanks 🙂
I bought this a few years back for my daughter. They have probably changed it since then but she didn’t really like it. It was loud and would skip so the pieces wouldn’t always stick together. I think she used all the fabric up that it came with and never touched it again. Kinda disappointing. Having said that, she does still have the little pillows that she made with it.
Yay! Thank you! This was on my daughter’s list 🙂
You’re welcome! Happy you can check it off the list!
I bought this a whike back for my girls they loved it but have gotten a bigger one since. But Really great for a beginner.
Great ro hear Rose, thanks for sharing!
We bought this for $25 at Target. It has four needles that move up and down pushing yarn through felt. It jammed and the needles broke off on the third use. Get a simple sewing machine for your beginner instead. It was a waste for us.
Makes sense. I was wondering that. Thanks!
Yes I was wondering the same thing, if it’s worth it or better to just get a simple sewing machine.. although for a 6 -7 year old not sure
I’m interested in this and the reviews on amazon all look good until you realize they are all reviews because they received the product for free. I know they are supposed to be honest with those reviews but the reviews done by people who didn’t receive it for free are not so good.
Aldi has a sewing machine for $12. My Mom got it for my 9 yead old. They also have other sewing components to get to use with it.
My daughters each received one of these as a present several months ago (not free for review…a grandparent gift). What they do is actually felt, not sew…so there is no thread involved. They have both made several pillows, etc. with them. One note, you can use those .25 pieces of felt from craft stores once the material included runs out. They are run on batteries and we’ve noticed that they do begin to jam a bit when the batteries are running low. Otherwise, they are able to use them independently and pull them out about once a week. (They are also a hit with friends who come over).
