My nine year old daughter is begging for a computer for Christmas. She would mostly use it for youtube. Can anyone tell me if this is a good computer?
I wouldn’t suggest it for someone wanting to do gaming, but if she’s mostly just going to use internet capabilities it should be just fine!

Probably good for basic stuff and for kids, but they don’t make them as good as they used to. My first Lenovo lasted about 6 years, my second that I bought this year is already so slow and with many bugs. And my hubby s Yoga Lenovo’s hinges simply broke one day when he opened it

I can tell you that despite all the big name brands, this is my go-to brand because the last laptop I had literally took a licking and kept on ticking. Also there is the IdeaPad that was a doorbuster for $99. It was unavailable yesterday because it was out of stock but it’s available again right now

Is Lenovo better than HP? I bought an 11” touch screen for the same price but a bigger screen would be better on my eyes… ugh. I hate shopping for computers!
I bought this Lenovo back in September and now it won’t even boot. Lenovo keeps giving me the run-around about getting it serviced even though it’s within warranty. The customer service is rude, interrupts you when you try to talk, and sends you to different departments that send you right back to where you started. I was a first time Lenovo customer and now I’m a never again Lenovo customer.

Is this a good gift for a 17 yr old girl? Thinking about getting this for my niece
It’s not going to be very fast and the hard drive is small by today’s standards. A 17 year-old will need a better machine, especially if you are thinking about her going off to college in a year or so.

Definitely do NOT recommend Lenovo! Computer stopped working 2 months after I bought it and it took almost a full year and three times mailing it back to them to fix before they would honor the warranty and replace. Almost a year without a working computer while I fought to get it replaced. Save yourself the stress.
