Anyone know if you can buy a gamestop gift card and then use them to buy other gift cards on-line or instore? ie… PlayStation gift Cards…exc.. T
Yes, I have brought other gift cards at GameStop using GameStop gift cards in store. Not sure about online though. I have brought burger king, Uber etc.
Would prefer a gift card with half the cost like a $10.00 gift card for $5.00
Mostly retailers skip that option because it means people can double up on sales and hurt the bottom line. So you buy a $10 gift card for $5, then they have a big sale where they will make just above their margin but at least reduce inventory – and use your gift card and they either barely break even or lose money which defeats the purpose in the first place (i.e. a $50 retail priced item goes on sale 75% off, now $12.50. You pay with your gift card, ultimately paying $7.50 for a $50 item – while a great deal for you this hoses the retailer).
For big retails this may not be an issue but for the little guys this can break a business.
