Yikes! Wherever you went to see Santa, that might be worth talking to the manager about. So sad to think that there might be heartbroken kids at Christmas because Santa made crazy unattainable promises.
At the same time, if she was really specific on that exact item, he probably figured her parents had heard it repeated forever and were planning on it. If it was a mall Santa or whatever, I doubt super low income families would even go to set themselves up for promises they can’t keep. I know I don’t take my kids to any Santa but the bass pro shop one and I’ve asked my kids repeatedly and had them make lists beforehand. Kids are so funny, always changing gears and making parents scramble. Nothing to get a Santa fired over. It’s a thankless job for sure.
I would have to agree with Beth. I really doubt they would fire Santa over it, just bring it to his attention on how not to commit the parents to purchasing a specific gift (lavish or otherwise). I run a specific charity that services over 1000 local foster children/and orphans living in a group home here in Michigan. Every year the caseworkers send their lists to me and I find schools/Church’s/business in the area to sponsor these kids and provide needs and wants from their lists. Needs range from socks/underwater, winter coats/boots etc; wants are as lavish as an American Girl Doll, Nintendo Switch, bikes, iPads, etc. The chances of those big ticket items getting filled are very slim. These kids will most likely visit Santa at some point over the season. If that child sits on Santa’s lap and asks for, let’s say, an American a girl Pop Up RV, there is almost a 100% chance that wish won’t be able to be grated by the sponsor or foster family. That is a $200 toy. That is a lot of money for someone low income, heck, that’s a few weeks worth of groceries for a couponer. I think people need to remember that the holidays know no financial bracket. You can’t not want the world at Christmastime when you are a kid.

If you don’t a code I have seen doll hospital diys on different sites and the Our Generation brand from Target has both a doctor doll and a doctor kit I believe. Also check out ebay for second hand stuff, as I have gotten some really good deals before.

They only put the coupon codes in select catalogs and they all expired the 22nd. They told me that they are only meant to be used for first time orders. Cyber Monday deals cannot be stacked with anything but ag rewards certificates.
