My 8 year old got this when she was a baby. We still set it up every year so kids can play with it and leave the glass nativity alone😀

I have the older version and the matching sets to go with it. Even though the kids are getting older we still put it out because of the memories. Plus, when friends come with their kids they love it too. The one nativity scene in the house that can be touched and moved around.
This maybe be a silly question but how do kids “play” with this nativity set? Is it just for display?
It’s made by fisher price and is the Little People brand. So it’s the same quality as all the little people kid sets. It’s kid proof and very durable. Kids can do imaginative play with it which is nice because most nativities are fragile and are just for looks. This one doubles as a toy.
I set this up in my two year old’s play room. He pretends Jesus is crying and then makes Mary and Joseph pat him and say “shhhh”. He makes the animals talk too and brings other toys over (like his airplane or elephant, etc) to where it is and plays with them all together.
Our set is played with year round, mixed in with other little people toys. Always fun to see Mary flying a jet plane, Joseph driving the bus, etc.
Yes, we get this out during the Holidays and my daughter loves to play with it because it seems “new” each year.

It’s personal choice really. If your kid is doing to put items in their mouth or get it wet for whatever reason, I’d go for the little people.
We have this set and love it!!!! It very durable, like all the other fisher price little people playsets. Ours has held up many years! This is a great price for that play set!

Thanks for posting! My daughter is 1 and will definitely play with this by next year. My 6 year old is probably too old, but I’ve noticed if his sister gets into it, he’ll play too so it might be a good toy for both.
We use this every year and my 8 and 10 year old love it. I love that I don’t have to worry about it getting broken!

awesome deal! Ours is a hand- me down that we have had for years now- lost a few pieces- but the ones we have are still in perfect shape!
My nephew messed up one of our pieces by hiding it in a lamp directly on top of the lightbulb. I was able to purchase an exact replacement (from an older set) from eBay. If you have too many pieces it might not be worth it to you, but for me it was worth the $3.xx to keep the set whole! 🙂

Got this a few years ago and my kids still love it. They were so excited to have it out this year! They are making up all sorts of interesting stories with Mary and Joseph and Jesus… not traditional Christmas stories (baby Jesus got robbed by robbers and Mary went in the car, hahah) but hey, it’s fun
Maybe a strange question but does anyone know if baby Jesus can be removed from his bed? We have a glass one that our almost two year old LOVES and is extremely careful with, but accidents can happen, so I’d like to get her her own. But her favorite thing is to line up everyone and have baby Jesus kiss them and I don’t know if she’d be as interested if Jesus wasn’t separate. At this price, I may just take the gamble, but if anyone could let me know I’d appreciate it!

My girls love this set! We put it away after Christmas and get it out when we decorate and they spend so much time with it. It’s a great way to make to play out the Christmas story for them.

Oh man! I think every family needs this! Such wonderful interactive play ( and learning the Christmas story). Don’t forget to eventually buy the add-on shepherd, hill, & extra sheep. They’re a big part of he story (but never are in the original FPLP set). And learn the motions to “Away in the Manger” to help sing along with the FPLP angel on the top!
