Just wanted to let everyone know…check your shop your way points…I had $22 of free shopyour way cash that I used to buy teacher gifts and stocking stuffers…and didn’t pay anything out of pocket!

I know this is crazy on sale, but my “cheap” off-brand mixer has worked just fine for 10 years

So want but I just can’t justify it.

Costco might be a better deal if the rebate is still going on….also since this is a big purchase i would suggest a brick and morter to get better after sales service in case something goes wrong with it.

The rebate did not include the mixer from Costco

Can anyone tell me the difference (other than quart and half quart sizes) in these and the Artisans ones? I’m not a huge baker by any means, may make cookies, cakes, etc once a month or so. (Dont judge me lol). I love the attachments a lot, well, what I see them doπŸ˜€, I’ve yet to use them as I don’t have a Kitchen Aid mixer..but I want one. We bought my mother in law one a few years back and she loves it still. Any and all help is appreciated as I am absolutely new to this mixer, yes I know it’s been around a long time…I do love the color choices of the Artisan ones. I think the one I like is called Bay Leaf, or bay something, it’s a dark green! Thanks in advance.

The main difference(s) are the 1) bowl mount design – either tilt head, where the bowl slips in under the beaters when the motor tilts back and up, or bowl lift, where the bowl itself shifts up and down and the motor stays in place and 2) the strength of the motor. If you like to do large batches of dough, spring for a larger motor. The Artisan series is an entry level product with a smaller motor.

I have this mixer, in red. I bought it several years back when it was ridiculously cheap with rebates… I LOVE IT!!!! I don’t do a whole lot of baking but when I do… I LOVE THIS THING!!! It will cream butter, even if you forget to set it out, like it is nothing. So, if you like to bake and have thick dough or cake batters, this is definitely the one to go with!!!!

Awesome to hear how well it has worked for you Gena! Thanks for sharing your experience!
