I haven’t had any issues with dark armpits with this brand. I also researched natural deodorant before switching and learned you will have better success (won’t be smelly with natural) if you detox your armpits before using it. Not sure if that’s where some of the darkness comes from (if you don’t detox). I got benonite clay from Amazon and use it about once a month and it’s been great switching!!

Karen, I currently use the unscented Tom’s. I did not notice any difference compared to the Dove I have been using for probably 15+ years. It must have taken about a month for whatever additive to rid my system. One day I did not shower (keeping it honest) and played the Wii with my kids. I stunk up the entire family room! Since then, I have not had any issues but do know you have to shower daily to maintain the effectiveness. After that incident, my husband did suggest I try a scented version. 😂

I think if she’s starting off (& doesn’t have the aluminum in her armpits/system yet) then she will be ok. The detox is (mostly) to remove the minerals in your system.
Oh I forgot about the Apple cider vinegar mixture I made (after researching and watching YouTube videos) to kill the germs that cause the odor. Look into that as well. Really helps!

I use the Tom’s Wicked Cool for teen girls (I’m 45 :O). It’s a deodorantis free of aluminum, parabens, and artificial fragrances. I love the smell of it and most of the time it works pretty well for me.
Works great for 8-10 years now and I only use natural soaps with shower / bath! I prefer the apricot smell.

Would love to try, but it seems like such an unguaranteed process: cleaning with apple cider vinegar, possible dark spots, still smelling, etc.
