If I have a 30% off coupon (rarely get them), can I purchase $10 of FSA Eligible items and get the $5 off or is the $10 threshold AFTER 30% discount?

    Thank you,
    SJ

You need to meet the threshold after the 30% off. So purchase $14.50 before 30% to bring it down to $10.15 and then use the $5/$10.

      • Mel R.

The threshold is BEFORE any coupons, including % off. So yes, you can use it on just $10 of FSA eligible products, so long as they’re not on sale. The $5/$10 coupon will most likely prorate the % discount though. So the 30% will probably be calculated on $5 rather than $10 ($10 in product – $5 cpn = $5 that the % will apply towards).

I’m sorry! You are right. And the 30% off would come off the $5, so your total would be $1.50 less on the transaction.

Thank you Mel R. I follow what you are saying and appreciate the detail!

Hmmm, I wonder if you can use your FSA debit card to make that purchase?

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Mine would work because they are FSA approved items. Hope that helps!

  3. Laura

ANyone know what boy character items these would have?

    • Mel R.

stock can vary by store, but mine has Nemo/Dory, Avengers & TMNT

Where’s this magic coupon printing machine I didn’t see any such thing in the store

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

It’s a big red machine – if you don’t see it, just ask the cashier.

    • Mel R.

Its the red box, usually located around the first few aisles of the store. It’s also where you price ck.
