Is it worth an extra $200.00 to get the 256 gb flash storage instead of the 128 gb flash storage? Thanks in advance.
Hi! We actually bought separately an extra terabyte of storage since we bought the lower gig and it was still cheaper.
You can always use an external storage
Definitely worth the extra $100. Yes, you can get external storage, but operating systems and all of the programs you typically use can take up over half of the 128gb storage. You’ll be struggling with space far too quickly.
Agreed. Pay the extra $ . You won’t be disappointed
Is this an item that a college student can get a discount on?
Generally the education discount is 10% (offsets tax, mostly). This is a way better deal.
I checked with Apple directly. They said if I was a student, I could get a discount. I think you have to have an .edu email address.
The last time I bought a computer, I got a price quote from Apple which was lower than Best Buy at the time, and all I had to do was show the estimate to Best Buy, and they matched the price.
I don’t live near an Apple store, so this was great for me.
Hey can you tell me how to get Apple to send the code to your email for the lower price? I used it a few years back on another Apple MacBook I just cannot remember.
I bought the $799 Apple computer today. I used the Find&Save app to save an extra 2%. Be sure to read all the conditions. The barcode on the app has to be scanned by the person checking you out in order to get the 2%. If not, it’s 1%.
From what I saw, this was the only app that didn’t exclude Apple products.
The laptop pictured is the pro. You had me excited… LOL
Thanks for the heads up Nate! The picture has been updated! 😉
Got the Air (wanted a USB port, which the Pro doesn’t have). The Best Buy price is $50 cheaper than the student discount) and the cheapest price all season. At the Apple store, they said I would need to show my daughter’s high school ID and that would qualify for the student discount.
The Pros are also on sale for $150 off.
