I’d normally agree,but it depends what you do with it. I’ve bought this from Costco before and take it in to the nursing facility where I work. I pass out the roses to residents and they just light up- many haven’t received a flower in years and you’d be surprised what a single rose can do:)

Well, spending money on ephemeral things is ok if it brings you happiness. If I want to go to a movie with my family, I’m dropping at least $50. At least. For 2 hours. At least the roses will last several days and can be shared with others…
A vase would have made it a better deal. I am not sure I would want to assemble my gifted flower assembly. Plants are also good gifts as they live longer.

I know flowers are so expensive, so I can never justify it to myself, but flowers have so much beauty! I have wonderful memories of the flowers my hubby gave me before children and pictures that I took of each bouquet gathered in one of my memory books!

But if you think about it…eating out to celebrate an occasion is also like ripping money up and throwing it away. It’s just what we all do to celebrate. Flowers at least last a week or two where as dinner is over in an hour and a half! I love both…lol!
